Hey, I've been hearing recent rumors that since the school yeah is winding down, that drug testing has stopped. Is this true or just another hallway rumor? If anyone out there on student council could find out, the information would be highly apprieciated.

it's just a rumor.. my girlfriend is a monitor in the vocational office and practically everyday they still handout drug tests.

Hey buddy what it boils down to, is this. If no one does drugs, then there would be no testing, however people like you who break the law and use illegal substances. Unless you stop using the drugs, you have no grounds to stand on to complain about drug testing. The only ones who have the right to bitch in this situation are the ones who have to get tested because of other people's decisions.

it shouldnt be the school's place to test you.. if the government wants to test you, then go right ahead...but the school shouldn't.
unless they have a good reason too, they shouldnt be able to just randomly test anyone. unless they want to test teachers too.

They don't really test ANYONE, I think it's a more of a narrowed down "random drug test." Because I think the only kids that get tested are the ones involved in sports, ones that drive to school..and I'm not really sure about this one as much as I am about the other 2 but maybe even co-op. Thats a good idea, to test the teachers...who knows what they'd find.

I don't think so. The only people that should be able to test you are your parents. I don't think anyone has a right to aside from them or your legal guardians.

The school is part of the government, it is funded by taxes, and run by the government. Drug testing involves three groups of people, athletes, co-op, and drivers. To do any of those three things at high school it is considered a privelege that is why they can test you. You agree to be tested when you sign up for any of those three categories, so simply put, if you dont want to be tested, dont play sports, dont drive to school, and finally dont do co-op. Of course the simplest solution to all of this would be to not do drugs.

Hey heres a simple solution... If you wanna do drugs just dont fucking come to school at all! Its not like your actually going to pay attention in school if your on drugs anyways. Then you can do all the drugs you want and get away with it. Either way your still throwing away your life. Darn thats to bad... atleast it makes it easier for me to suceed if your fucking you life up.
