Right now I notice that on my web-browser, nubblies.com has a sub-heading that says, "The Place Controversy Calls Home".

This is a good title, and I like it a lot, but I would like to propose a change of that title, even if it is only temporary.

I propose that the title is changed to:

Nubblies.com-Ruining Lives One Person At A Time

Your thoughts on this change?

I like "A place controversy calls home" much better than the other, but then again that is my own humble opinion.

BDH-

I like "The Place Controversy Calls Home" better too. I just think we need a change, albeit even temporary.

I think maybe a monthly change would benefit the site, if only for reasons of originality so that the humor of Nubblies never gets stagnant.

I like "Ruining People's Lives One Person at a Time". I also like what it appears to be when you glance at it for a second without realizing what it really says:

"Running People's Lives, One Person at a Time"

That seems appropriate as well...but Ruining is better.

If you want a true "slogan" for a website though then you cannot be changing it monthly or even temporarily. It's kind of like Ford with there slogan "Built Ford Tough" you don't see them switching there slogan every month because it gets "old".

I say that we stick with the original however if we do change it then it needs to be permanent.

I agree that the site must have one single slogan. But i think mr.bastard's slogan is definately worthy of a sub-slogan. Put it on the bar at the top that rotates news... i think it's at least worthy of that.

Or we could come up with our own doomed sub-titles here in this thread. It'd give it some kind of purpose now that it's kinda lost the original message....

I agree with the ugly one... I think 'the place controversy calls home' is a little lame... perhaps a poll to pick a new slogan is in order.

Well unfortunatly for you gbc, nobody gives a damn what you think.

Now Orgazmo, I propose that we take a simple vote to see which slogan gets permenentally used:

Ruining Lives One Person At A Time: 1
The Place Controversy Calls Home: 0

Vote along.

How about:

Nubblies.com: Get the hell out, bitch!

But, if we are already voting, I'll vote for Ruining Lives... it's more original

Ruining Lives One Person At A Time: 2
The Place Controversy Calls Home: 0

You know, I think The Place Controversy Calls Home would be funnier if we had a picture of a guy named Controversy on the the main page.....*ahem*

Anyway, I really don't care. I still think that it would be cool to have a different slogan every month.

BDH compared our slogan to Ford's slogan. The thing is, there are plenty of business' out there that DO change their slogans every once in a while. Since when did Nubblies become Ford lovers?

In all seriousness though, I know of a few other message boards where not only do they change the slogan, but on one, there is a changeable forum that can be moderated for a month by a member, and he gets to choose the name.

But if I have to vote, I have to go with Ruining Lives.

Ruining Lives One Person At A Time: 3
Place Controversy Calls Home: 0

I am not a ford lover combat chuck but was rather using that as an example. If you want me to I could use many other companies who have had the same slogan for years. How many well known companies and big name corporations change the slogans?? None because only the smaller companies who are hurting for money do it for a new ploy to appeal to customers.

I say stay with what is working:
"The Place Controversy Calls Home"

3-1

That's upsetting. I really don't get the new slogan. I mean, I understand it, but clue me in on who's life we've ruined. Sure we've pissed some people off, but we haven't ruined any lives. This site is, however, very controversial, especially in the school setting, and with the possible introduction of stickers, could become even more controversial. I don't know. That's just my opinion.

I'm gonna have to stay with the fact that i think the 'contraversy' slogan is the best choice for an actual slogan for the site. 'ruining lives' is more of something you say, a phrase attached to and associated with nubblies...

It sure as hell would. We could fight and even become bo masters...ahh, wouldn't it be great. It'd, of course, be in true ninja form as well. I wonder if they sell those on e-bay...
