New Format? - Nubblies.net Forums

I'm on right now on Saturday, June 1st, 12:12 am, and Nubblies is eerily different. But not in a good way. I'm not sure if it's just my computer, but Nubblies seems to have a completely new format, however, avatars and post #'s and all other information about members is gone. Somebody please explain...

Well, I believe that Orgazmo has installed a newer version of the message board and is now tinkering with it. I think after a couple days everyone will get used to it, not to mention he is not done messing with the stuff, so I'm sure it will get better.

I personally think nubblies looks better now, but maybe that's my opinion. I do hope that somehow the avatars will come back. As for all the instant UBB code, I like it. Makes it easy for a dumbass like me to figure it out.

Yes, this is very differnt. There are some good parts and bad parts. Avatars will be missed but i am sure there is a reason why they are not there anymore.

If you find any problem with your title...go ahead and let me know and I'll do what I can to fix.

Problem w/avatars is that you can't upload your own...only provide a link. I'll work on a fix for that...

Edit: Alright, if you already had a custom avatar uploaded with the last setup, you can link to it pretty easily...

Before can do that, you need to know your usernumber. It's listed to the left...but you need the entire thing...not just what that tells you. To get that, go to any post that you have made and click on YOUR OWN profile button (clicking "my profile" at the top right of this page won't do the trick, you have to do what I just told you). Now, look at the 8 digit number at the end of that url (mine is 00000002). Copy that sexbear.

Now, when you go to specify that url to your custom avatar (which you can do inside of your profile), make the url:
[b]http://www.nubblies.net/ubb/Avatars/custom/[b]whatever the number that you just copied is.gif (don't forget to put .gif on the end)

Example: My url would be:
http://www.nubblies.net/ubb/Avatars/custom/00000002.gif

This should do for now...

Alright, kinda have a fix for the avatar stuff now. I added an upload feature similar to what we had on the old board. When you go to post a message not using the quick reply box, you can click on "upload form," which is to the left of the msg's body box. Upload your picture there & it'll give you a link to it. Just copy that link and paste it into your profile for the avatar shizzle. Don't pay any attention to the stuff that the upload thing says to you before you upload. It's being a real snake in the grass, and I don't really feel like dealing with it now. Also, i have to specify which file formats are allowed to be uploaded...so, if by some chance, I've missed a main format that you would like to upload, go ahead and let me know and I'll fix the horse asap.
