This Secret Santa gift is pretty sub-par. Xmas kinda snuck up on me and after that I found myself growing increasingly disappointed with the contents compared to the tardiness, which only further prolonged the send. I was hoping some amazing or funny idea would strike me, but none ever came, so I just buckled down and sent it. I have cold right now, so thank you for the yellow shit. It actually is kinda good too. The chocolate was fine, and the Squid was atrocious. Plus the smell...oh Jesus the smell. The red candy, though...that is delicious.

Update: That red candy actually caused me a great deal of pain later. It was stale-ish (maybe that's just how it is? similar to a super stale skittle with a harder shell), so when I would bite into a piece, it caused the shell to protrude in a razor-like fashion from the main body of the candy. This, combined with a hasty swallow, caused my throat to be sore for 3-4 days. Nonetheless, I stand by my comment that it is delicious.

Asia is a mindfuck in general, my biggest problem by far is the ubiquitous lack of logic everywhere you fucking go. The people in Asia---and I mean everywhere i've been in the Asian continent--never question anything, ever. It's such a hierarchical culture that there is no free thought if an order comes from above, no questioning, no coming up with better ideas, no thinking "hey, this doesn't make sense..." all out of some archaic, perverse notion of "respect". It's insane.

Anyways, i've mostly retained my sanity due to books. I have some of the best conversations with books via notes as finding an intellectual counterpart out here to discuss things with happens sometimes, but it's few and far between. Also the "much more difficult to get laid" thing sucks as well, but that once more has driven me further into reading. Which is going okay I guess.
