fuck that. i've been thinking a lot (if i had longer hair) of just going as a rick roll in general. dressing up like astley and everytime someone tries to talk to me or ask who i'm supposed to be, just have a stereo on me set very loud with "never gonna give you up" that i just hit "play" everytime they talk. awesome.

I make bad decisions.

No not at all really. I'm still amazed that the rickroll is still semi-popular. I mean in a world where internet jokes last a couple months max anymore, the fact that people still absolutley love the rickroll over 2 years later is still beyond me.

I got it! I purposely avoided allocating brain power towards contemplating what I wanted to be for Halloween. I figured it was the type of thing where it would just come to me when the time was right. That time came today.
I'm going as Joe the Plumber. |

i went to mexico for a few days, and came back tonight and read all the posts, and all of yours have sounded very similar to a close-minded, retarded average american who just happens to also be rich, no doubt contributing to this strange sense of ...patriotism? Don't think thats the right word. Anybody else notice this? But I miss the UB from college. Quote:

A. there have been variations of this map for at least 5 years, and i'm pretty sure several of them have been posted in the KAPotD thread before. Its not that funny after this long. B. That map, while amusing, is nothing to warrant a "God I love this country." Do you also proclaim your love for this nation after you watch Jerry Springer, Monday night football and Cops? C. What the fuck does Obama have to do with that map post at all? Should I just start calling you McCain, pulling out inane (rhymes, btw) defenses when you know you are going to lose? Yeah, voting for Obama is very similar to a cult because he's popular. You're such a maverick for going for the underdog, UB. What a badass. Quote:
Stop posting pictures of your black friends. We get it, you are diverse and accepting even though you are republican. I mean, at least you PAY black people to do demeaning work for you. P.S. Everyone is gonna think you're a ginger Mario.

Wow... do you feel better, Sam?
I didn't know you obsess over me so much... but that really sounded like it was a long time coming. Next time feel free to not be so chicken-shit as to keep it all bottled up for one big emotional wet dream. Quote:
I grew up in a lower middle class household. My parents never had any money other than the prospect of their next paycheck. I'm so grateful to them for working hard to give me an opportunity to achieve more than they did by sending me to college. To you, I guess they're just "retarded, average Americans" for liking McCain. Sure, they might not be as progressive or open-minded as you, Sam, but at least they've got some fucking self-respect. I had to work hard at learning the game of poker to be good enough to have a chance to succeed. Remember staring at yourself in the mirror all through college checking your pecs and your hair? While you were doing that, I was foregoing a social life so I could play countless thousands of hands of poker and try to learn from my mistakes in order to get better at the game. Yes, luck is in element of poker... but I haven't just "gotten lucky". Quite the opposite, actually, as the first minute of the video in my blog can document for you. What you saw in that video was the Main Event at the World Series of Poker. Ever since I first started playing poker, it's been a dream of mine to do well in that tournament... and this year, I did. I played absolutely fantastic for five days and outlasted 97% of the field until "luck" stabbed me in the back to knock me out just short of winning a life-changing fortune. And what I find so appealing about such a fortune is the opportunities it can lead to. My dream is to start my own business so that I can give the same opportunities to my friends and family that I have been so grateful to have had given to me. That is the American Dream, and that is why I don't like politicians whose platform is to tax away my ability to accumulate wealth and create opportunities for my friends and family to have a better life than the one I was born into. If you want to be one of the people in my life I consider a friend, one of the people who takes part in the process of helping each other realize our highest dreams and goals... I would like that a lot. But if you'd rather run to the government with your hand held out hoping they'll make money fall out of the sky and into your lap... it's been real.

Blah blah blah. Argue/Debate cold, not hot. Real first names? Is that like when parents are upset and use their childrens full names so they KNOW they're in trouble? Is this some form of mental manipulation to demean me? Yes, you got my number, COREY, you're a psychoanalytical genius. I obsess over you all the time and this is just the result of me being a coward. Cause thats the Sam everyone here knows. And that post was so emotion-laden, I slit my wrists as soon as I hit "submit". Stick to predicting peoples motives in poker pal, your real-world skills are slightly skewed. Quote:

I don't ask for handouts from anybody (as you well know) and never have, including the government. I could give a fuck less about the taxes, COREY, which is really what frustrates me most about (what seems to be) your whole political foundation. It seems to me the only thing you are focused on in this political campaign is the tax issue, and the only two people on the board who are so ridiculously opposed to it are you and GWB, both of you staunch economic republicans who also both happen to have recently come into more money than either of you have ever possessed before. Am I saying that money = republican? When it comes to taxes, maybe. I don't know. I know that the GWB I know very rarely gets/got into intellectual conversations in person and only seems to do so behind the facade of Nubblies.net, which is irrelevant but worth noting anyways, and I know that I personally think that you, COREY, have changed a bit from when I knew you. I'm not attacking you dude, at least not meaning to, but i know that you are better than popping onto nubblies every once in a while to bash Obama, who, while his financial policies may need some work, seems to be the more reasonable of the two candidates and I personally believe does not warrant the kind of childish, seemingly uneducated insults you are throwing towards him.

On a much, much lighter note, my halloween costume:
I don't know, my beard is making the chin awfully huge. Might have to trim it down, although i really don't want to. Also I need to get a plain black tie instead of that fucking paisley thing. |

Alright I'm going to have to battle that costume because mine is better. You don't even have a sword and your beard makes you look like American Dad. I'll get everything together and post it sometime this week.

In reality I'm actually Irish but since only my hands and a small part of my face will be visible, it might not help me much. Except that I'll be drinking with my ever-present Irish vigor.
Other than that I'm pretty much just short and thin and I don't think anyone will notice the difference. Had we thought this out ahead of time though, (and also if we were anywhere near the same place on halloween) I would have gladly gone as Gordito. That would have been fucking awesome. Oh, and I worked fairly hard to find a plastic ninja sword that didn't look ghetto but would more than likely be allowed in bars. I'm not the person who should be drinking with a katana either. Repug happened to call me randomly at like 11pm a few years ago and had to talk me out of impaling my ex's new boyfriend with one. The timing was AWESOME. She lived like a block away from me and I was about halfway to her house with it when he called. |

Good call on the Gordito. I had thought of that if you could get one of those costumes where somebody is riding a horse or an ostrich and the animals legs are actually their own...but have one be a dinosaur. That'd be pretty sweet. Another problem...how are we going to be drinking. Am I gonna have to have my mask halfway up the whole night? Also, am I gonna hvae to take my mask off at every bar I go to? That would suck. part of me just wants to say fuck it and get a zip up olive jumpsuit with a pillow in it, buy a cigar and go as fidel castro. I could def. pull it off with this beard.
