My gift came today. Unfortunately I forgot to bring DV tape so I couldn't do a youtube video.

The gift seems to have come from an Austin.

Its a book that I have heard is really good! I don't normally read for sport but I can guarantee you my nose will be stuck in this sucker for the next week!

around 2 today, I got a text saying that my gift was waiting for me. I spent the next couple of hours anticipating what it could be... I even left work an hour early just to appease my curiosity. I usually stop by the post office on my way home to send out shit for work, but not today, today I had my last christmas present waiting for me... work, be damned!

I got home and prepared the area. I called both of my roommates to join me in the living room as this is a time to be shared. Yes, I even took pictures chronicling the unwrapping. my anticipation soon turned to disappointment as I revealed the book "the joy of gay sex". Now, maybe it's because I'm a bit older than most on this board, or maybe it's because I left gay jokes in middle school, but I feel that I've been ripped off. Not only was my santa unable to get my gift here before the new year, but he apparently wasn't to be bothered by looking for anything clever, cute, or funny.

I don't think he deserves a killing. Hopefully my disappointment will be enough to discourage hasty gifting in the future.

I had a gay roommate for 2 years and still have a few gay friends. I think that if I were going to "turn gay" it would've happened by now.

I think there's a clear cut different between gifts drop shipped (like this, probably shipped from Amazon to Stab) and gifts package in house, taken to a shipper, and sent on their merry way.

In general, I'd say the latter are a much better gift.
