Here's how I see the tournament right now:

The major contenders are Stab and I, who both have a high score and 760 possible points remaining, but have picked less popular teams (Duke and Kentucky), BDH who appears to have a dominating advantage over Toungina with UNC, And f3lix, who has less of a shot than first meets the eye, really needs Illinois to win it all and some other key teams (Duke, Kentucky) to lose early.

The key match between Stab and I comes at the Duke Kentucky game (assuming they both advance to the elite 8).

f3lix is the leader with picking Illinois, but since our brackets are so close to each other, I think that should Illinois win, I would still have more points than him. Stab might be able to do the same if we come to an Illinois, Kentucky final. A lot depends on the 2nd half of the round of 16.

DJ, I have Duke in the final game, if Illinois beats Duke in the final, I win this thing. If Illinois beats any team other than North Carolina or Kentucky in the final, I win this thing. And we all know UNC won't be making it to the final game and that Illinois will win, so that's good we've settled that.

Here is one likely scenerio:

UNC, Duke, Kentucky all win today, Illinois, Louisville, Duke, and UNC preceed to the final 4. We have a match up of Illinois vs. Duke, with Illinois winning.

If this happens, you get all the possible points remaining (640) to land a final score of 1140.

I get all my possible points remaining minus 160 for not picking the winner, which lands me at 1150.

And if something freak happens like UNC not make the final 4, well then we both lose those points.

Edit: Actually UNC losing is your best hope, because that's where most of my extra points remaining lie.

Edit Edit: I don't feel like crunching the numbers again, but Lucifer may be able to win if we get an Illinois, UNC game.

UNC is the deepest most talented team in the country. Illinois doesn't have the depth nor the inside presence to matchup. Then again that is just me.

I love how you are not TELLING us what will happen anymore.

DJ, are you aware the winning team yields 320 points? This is the reason that winning this thing is so important, we both have UK and Duke today, with Duke going on, thus they cancel out. Our only difference is UNC which you have winning today (40 pts) and sunday (80 pts) putting you up by 160. Which is quite short of 320.
