Liam Howlett.
Why? Because he's a fucking musical genius. Not only that, he's a god. No one can make music quite like him. He can make all kinds of music; hardass, developmental, grooving, funking, warping, rocking, punking, chilling, soothing, fucking, shitting, pissing, whatever the hell he wants, and he does it well. But he excels in making fucking hard music. Music that gets your blood pumping and just generally makes you want to smack your bitch up. |

Thom Yorke
Radiohead's front-man. His music is unprecedented. He copies it off of no-one. Completely original style. There are a few bands out there that I like more than Radiohead, but none of them have a front-man I respect more than Yorke ('cept for maybe the Pepper's Keidis). -Ugly Bastard [This message has been edited by Ugly Bastard (edited April 30, 2003).] |

This thread should probably be in this and that.
That being said. It must definately be Jimmy Page. He is the master behind the music of Led Zeppelin. Granted he had an amazing band with him, I think that the guitar work he laid down is what makes Zeppelin great... |

Phil Keaggy.
This man in my opinion is one of the best guitarists ever. His pieces are brilliant and he doesn't have a certain style, he has mastered lots of genres. Not to mention, the guy is missing his middle finger on his right hand... now with that said, and looking at what he can do on the guitar. You just have to sit back in awe. He's modest about his playing, so his cds don't really show his true ability... two great acoustic cds are 'Acoustic Sketches' and 'Beyond Nature'. Check them out. Peace. |

Dave Grohl
You may know him as the Lead Singer/Rythem Guitarist for the Foo Fighters...or the drummer for Nirvana. Either way, he does a damn good job. Of course I'm not saying that he's the best at each of these instruments, it's just the fact that he plays all of them well enough to me an intricate member of a globaly recognized band that amazes me. He is basicly a one man band. I would honestly like to see him release an album of just him playing every instument. |
