Pre-flop Aces finally stand, the guy pushed his whole stack in pre-flop. Funny thing as I'm setting this up I get K's and end up raping some guy with A Q (hit a Q) for 96 large.

No raises pre, no bets on the flop, and a .50 cent bet from me (and only called by him) on the turn. All of the rest of the cash went in on the river. The poor fucker's heart had to absolutely drop when he saw my cards flip over. I'd probably be hanging from a rope right now if I was sitting in his chair when this happened.

After the flop on that one though, he's probably thinking his J's are good as the flop sucked (assuming there were raises pre-flop with 2 pocket pairs) When he hits his set, he knows its golden. It's not really a bad beat in my opinion.

Although it sucks getting outdrawn, its understandable in this situation.

The worst thing ever is to go to The Hold'em House on Thursday tourney's and trying to survive the first hour because of all the idiots that take 150-200 bucks to rebuy during the first hour and push around their chips on trash and outdraw you. Being a poor college student I tend to take 25-50 (25 dollar buy-in tourney w/ unlimited rebuys for first hour).

I'm normally there every Monday night playing in 1 table mini tourneys (basically a 12 person Sit & Go)

SittinOnDubsWGW, just for the record...we were both all-in preflop. I don't know how you could think that we weren't with two hands like that heads up. Don't think I'm the least bit mad at alinach. I can hardly fault her for going all in with jacks there. I was merely bitching at a $400 outdraw.

Although I hate Phil Hellmuth because he is a whiny bitch, I often feel his pain of going in on the best hand and getting outdrawn, more often then not by things that are LONGSHOTS.

I don't understand why AAAK is good in omaha?

From My experience it's quite mediocre. Sure you have a made pair of Aces, but you aren't going to catch a set. If you catch a king, you don't have 2 pair.

Id Much rather have any other pair and any other two connecting cards... say 10,10,9,8 two suited.

Edit: I must be high or something because I thought your cards were "AAAK" Instead of "AAKK" (Arguably the best hand in Omaha, the only other hand that could be percieved as better would be AAJ10, two suited)

It's not AAAK...it's AAKK double suited. AAKK gives you about a 25% chance of catching the top set on the flop...not to mention the odds of hitting a nut straight or nut flush draw along with that.

AAAK gets folded preflop by yours truly. AAKK two suited is a whole different story.

When I first started reading your post I thought you were saying that AAKK two suited is a bad hand - I was boiling on the inside that I was going to have to actually work to convince you otherwise.

PS: While I agree that AAJT two suited is lucious as well, give me AAKK instead anyday. If on this very pot I had AAJT instead - I would have lost the hand. The kings are what played for me. There are some world class players (such as TJ Cloutier) who think that AAJT is the best hand you can be dealt.
