So if a president does something good that people don't like, he's a retard run amuck; and if he does something good that people do like, it's simply a re-election ploy. Got it.

I've been meaning to post some things about this topic, but I haven't had much time with Ultima Online consuming my entire life. Anyways, I wanted to say that there are plenty of reasons to go to the moon, and set up a base. Number one of course is the technology that will be created because of this. Secondly, the moon has vast quantities of frozen hydrogen and oxygen, which is rocket fuel. Also, by building a base on the moon, along with a rocket ship, it becomes much easier to travel to Mars. This is because the moon has much less gravity than the Earth, which would require much less force and fuel to take off. The final reason this is a good idea is because it will allow us to harness massive quantiies of solar energy. The moon has no atmosphere, and the sun is always shining on the moon. The Solar energy we could get on the moon would be 100x as powerful as what we could get on Earth. There are no animals that will be living on the moon, so we can construct massive ammounts of solar panels, and not worry about fucking up their habitat. This energy would be beamed back to Earth via laser technology. There are already numerous companies in line to set up solar power stations on the moon.

Not to mention is moral boost it is. This will also help give the economy and American confidence a lift.
