I harassed a police officer in Scottsdale once and somehow miraculously didn't get put in cuffs like I should have. Didn't realize at the time that screaming "does it make you feel better about your little dicks to put my friend [blonde] in handcuffs?" was actually illegal.

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

It's been done to death, this isn't a funny version, the guy problem liked Steve Jobs for instance, just another money is bad circle jerk. Do people honestly equate having a lot money with being a terrible person? All of them? More than a random sampling of people? That they do more harm than good? That they do more net harm than an average person? That they don't have a right to the money? How much is too much? Based on what? That there is anything close to a cohesive group of 1%? That it isn't a bunch of wildly divergent goals, ideologies, and outright competitors? Just more childish bullshit that does nothing but lose credibility. | |

When people overreact like that in regard to OWS/any criticism, even in the face of attempted humor, it really makes them seem like a really insecure temporarily embarrassed millionaire, worried desperately about their future loss of income were enough people to criticize the wealthy.
That being said, |

The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them. |

They don't want to be broken up so they can continue their "Woodstock-esque" gathering of lewdness, drunkeness, illegal drug abuse, and rape. Also, they want to continue defecating in the park/area of protest so that everyone has to smell their shit along with their rotting litter and trash.

God I hope not.
Outlawing weed is one thing. Outlawing finance will take us back to the stone ages. |
