Tiger Woods "Seriously Injured" in Car Accident - Breaking - Gawker

"Not much detail about this breaking news, but Tiger Woods was apparently "seriously injured" in a car accident this morning. From the Orlando Sentinel:

Woods, 33, pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community about 2:25 a.m. when he struck a fire hydrant, and then drove into a tree at his neighbor's property, FHP reported.

Woods was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in serious condition, FHP said. No other information about his condition has been released...

FHP said the airbags in Woods' Cadillac Escalade did not deploy, which means the vehicle was traveling under 33 mph.

What does "serious condition" mean, anyway? From The Straight Dope:

Being upgraded to "serious" means there is a lower likelihood of death within 24 hours, but the patient still requires close observation. So, you're definitely thought to be better off in "serious" condition than in "critical" condition, but you're not ready to go run a marathon, or for that matter shuffle to the bathroom.

UPDATE: WESH Orlando is reporting Woods has "facial lacerations"; CNN reports that "The crash is under investigation, and charges are pending, though it was not clear who could face charges. The accident did not appear to have been alcohol-related."

Looks like Tiger should of used a better driver.

the rumor is that his wife found out that he was cheating on her and went ape shit on him... he was leaving to get away from her when he wrecked. the facial lacerations were likely caused by her, not the collision... I hear she has a nasty slice
