OK, so the debates themselves wouldn't be so good, but the election might actually be about issues, as opposed to just negative campaigns, fear-mongering, and finger-pointing.

Are you guys nuts? Paul would CRUSH Obama, since Obama doesn't believe in anything. Obama would look better on the screen and the debate might not be entertaining, but Paul would just obliterate Obama.

F3lix, just no. Obama got where he is today because he speaks well. Ron Paul will never get any further because he doesn't. It's one of the many reasons I hate democracy.

No, Obama got where he is today by being great at reading a tele-prompt. He is AWFUL at speaking without the words in front of him and rarely takes a stance on any issue. Paul would steamroll him on that. In a true debate, where Obama doesn't have softballs thrown to him, Paul runs him over, pisses and shits on him, and drapes the Chinese flag over his body.

Have you guys heard about this? Creator was on the Colbert Report. It sounds like a pretty solid idea, actually.

It is just one more incredibly insane and arbitrary box that has to be ticked by any major candidate; to be elected you have to be (rather you must publicly claim to be, no matter how much you die inside because of it) a christian, a full on "I believe in God for real" christian, you have to have one of two stances on any and all issues, a communist or socialist must never admit to it, nor shall an advocate of Austrian school economics admit to that. You must cry after you get caught with your dick in an assistant, etc, etc, etc. | |

I'm not saying Ron Paul will get elected. I'm saying he's a far better debator than Obama. Beebs put it very well. Modern America thinks a "debate" is a bunch of canned questions thrown to the candidates via a moderator instead of just letting them discuss the issues themselves. In a real debate, Obama wouldn't even get elected to the senate.
