I live fairly close to the cowboys stadium about ten miles or so. I'm tired of this and glad it's over. I have no idea why Arlington did some of the shit they did. About two weeks before the game they started closing streets etc. Same with downtown fort worth. It's a bitch to get to the courthouse. Espn fucking decided to broadcast in parking lots as well. It's just a big clusterfuck. The road where the chapter 13 trustee is on is shut down today. Why? The NFL is staying at the omni hotel a block away. Tired of this shit. Those in Indy, enjoy it next year.

I was planning on taking vacation and going down there for 3 or 4 days. After being out of state for much of the Super Bowl, I actually enjoyed not really giving a damn about the game. I only watched the 2nd half. I'll go ahead and go one day, and then head to Florida after that.

What is people in Indiana's obsession with Florida? I swear half of Indiana-originating vacations are to Florida. There are other places in the world with warm weather and a beach.

Florida has the best weather in the continental US, and it's relatively close to Indiana. It's not really much of a surprise that Indiana people go there often. A three hour flight is so much more tolerable than a 5+ hour flight.

Or in my case, where I hate flying, a 16 hour drive to 60 degree better weather, is better then a 30 hour drive. I'm sure as hell not going to Bama or Georgia. My favorite vacation spot is Myrtle Beach, or Virginia Beach, but since it's still to cold, Florida it is.

It's not just Indiana. It's everything east of the Mississippi. And what's wrong with Florida? As far as vaccation spots go it's pretty good (English speaking, affordable, domestic, easy access, great weather, great beaches, Miami, etc...)

Miami sucks

As far as Florida goes SW Florida is pretty much an extension of the midwest. Naples, Ft. Myers, Marco, etc. is all filled with midwesterners. It's affordable and a reasonable drive or flight compared to many other spots you could vacation too. I fly out for Ft. Myers Tuesday and am looking forward to it!
