The people I know that voted for Obama now fall into three camps:

1) OMG WE WERE SO WRONG WE'RE LIBERTARIANS NOW.

2) OMG I finally graduated and got a job in my field of study. I just realized that taxes are a WHOLE LOT SHITTIER as soon as you hit a certain yearly salary. Now that I have to pay more, I'm also pissed. Fuck Obama.

3) I'm sticking to my guns no matter what because you're racist if you don't reelect Obama.

Paul now tied with Romney in polls for highest vote percentage when put 1v1 against Obama. Apparently, only the media actually believe Paul is unelectable.

The only two candidates to register at least 10% in both Iowa and New Hampshire are Romney and Paul. Both got at least 21% in each. It's becoming clear to me, that with Paul now surging into the 20% in South Carolina that it's between Paul and Romney for the GOP. The more Newt's super PAC spends on anti-Romney, the better it is for Paul.

Based on national polling for x candidate vs. Obama, it's been Romney and Paul registering the highest against Obama, thus those should be the two it is down to anyway.

Dude I hate to break it to ya but it's damn near over. Romney was around 70% to win the nomination, fell to the 50s, but has now surged to 89% likely. It's been Romney all along. Ron Paul to win the Republican nomination has fallen to 3.5%.
