By the way I think my favorite sports highlight clip with commentary ever could be Diego Maradona's Goal of the Century vs. England in 1986 played with the commentary of Victor Hugo Morales who just went nuts after the goal with pure emotion. Dude you've been down under too long. This clip is ridiculous. There's some compulsion among soccer fans to create highlight clip after highlight clip, and the thing is, they're terrible at it. You could make the argument that Xavi is the 3rd-best player in the world right now, but you sit and watch the clip and wonder when the highlight comes. And yes I understand the impressive thing isn't the physical kick but knowing when and where to pass, but this whole clip is "I'm covered, I should pass to the guy ten feet away from me who isn't covered." And it's not just this clip. Soccer highlight clips are so over-made and over-linked that we're constantly looking at completely vanilla plays with electronic music in the background, and non-soccer fans are thinking "soccer is gay" and soccer fans are thinking "fap fap fap"

It's not really a highlight, it's all of his touches from 2 games, mostly the second one. The guy regularly completes more passes than the entire opposing team. Xavi basically runs the game for the Spain team that won the last world cup and euros, and the Barcelona team that might be the best ever.

So yea, no particular pass is mind blowing, the totality of doing something so much better than anybody else, anybody ever really, at the highest possible level, with no mistakes is, I say.

I do get that it's kind of dull, but it's interesting and impressive in context.

Also, clips like that are made for and by nerds like me, more than the general public.

Believe me, that sort of thing haunts keepers in the deepest recesses of their brains. If he would have scored it on a free kick or going up on a corner...anything where he even sort of meant to do it, then he would have celebrated. A play like that, you have empathy.

Well I've already had a handful of concussions, so am at more risk.

I don't really know; If we are talking absolute minimum, I'd probably take medical bills + $5,000. I'd start the negotiation at a $1,000,000+ though. Obviously it's low, but if it's like the other concussions I've had, it's a nice chunk of change for fastforwarding time a day or so.

As for what would happen, it's not unthinkable that it could kill me.

Most likely though, it's obviously going to knock me out, then were talking broken facial bones where it lands, could break my nose, dislocated jaw, severe concussion, deep cuts are possible depending on where it lands, could put a hole in my lips. Less likely but still possible would be damage to vision up to disconnecting the optic nerve, a wide range of brain damage from vegetable to double vision. Going to have a headache for a while, neck is going to be sore, could injure whatever body part my unconscious body falls on or twists while falling. Could do inner ear damage too, I think.

The glove in this case is really only going to lower the superficial cuts, Foreman only had to wear 8 oz gloves, modern heavies use 10 or 12. I fought with 12s, and even those barely feel different than nothing at all.

I don't know man, it's an hard fucking thing to price. I mean people have taken similar money or less even inflation adjusted to fight him, which means getting hit over and over and been not damaged by it.

I'd take the same outcome from when I took on a Semi-trailer for a grand easy.
