I understand checking kicks sucks, I know how much it hurts to be blasted in the face by someone over 200 pounds.

I will never be foolish enough to say there's a zero percent chance of any (the majority of nubblies) to win in a fight against this kid. I say most of us (almost all of us workout a solid amount, or have at least a little fight experience) have a 70-80% chance of victory.

I'm of the opposite mindset, I prefer to take this fight to the ground and slowly grinding it out, getting mount and making that little kid my bitch. I don't think he has enough to knock me out, but he can make my life hell standing up, as he's a quick and technical lil bugger.

I just don't think he can overcome most's strengths on the ground...

The biggest issue is going to be getting any sort of offense going. He's obviously a good technical standup fighter and fast, so landing punches is going to be hard.

He will require at least some degree of technical ability to take down, and he's going to recover guard pretty easily. With all the training I assume he's got better cardio than any of us.

The strength advantage probably isn't as big as one might think, an athletic 13 year old isn't all that weak, and is strong enough to make a punch hurt and to apply a submission.

So those among us with more than a blue belt in BJJ would take him, but I personally wouldn't bet on myself or anyone else.

This. I'd have to think I can stand with him. My chin alone could stand an onslaught if I couldn't keep my jab out and keep him at length. Plus, I'm not sure at his age, he could handle the punching power of guys our age. It's the same argument when a girl gets loud. I've never met a girl that I wouldn't just crush if we got into a fight.

First thing I notice is that he has great hands; catches a lot of shots others wouldn't, and when he can't catch it he always seems to put the ball out of danger; never gives up bad rebounds.

More willing to take the ball off an attackers feet than most, and better at it. Attacks the ball with his feet, covers goal with his body, a hybrid of the two schools of thought. Some say to dive in hands first when you think you can get the ball, others say to just stay in front of the ball and "stay big" to take away as much of the goal as possible.
