Alright, this isn't a rant about how they screwed me, or how I have lost a bunch of money or anything like that, although both of these have sort of happened. This is a rant about how Party Poker is ruining my life.

I have been playing online poker non-stop for about a month now. I do almost nothing else but play poker on the internet. There is no time to study, not time to do anything, but play party poker. I may be addicted to gambling as some have suggested, but I don't know about this. All I know is that I hate party poker and it will be the sole reason for me failing out of college.

It's kind of like a video game addiction, but about 100 times worse. I uninstalled the program last night hoping that this will keep me from playing. The problem is that all I have to do is go to their website and download it, which I am already considering doing and I haven't been up for more than 10 minutes. Somebody help me!

there is no running from it. just do yourself a favor, re-download the program, make a new account, and say that i refered you. It's a win/win situation. There's no argueing against free money trout, I think we both can agree to that.

You should take up a hobby that isn't addicting, like drinking or doing drugs. That'll keep you away from that evil poker.

I'm addicted to poker as well... but I havn't taken the next step to online gambling.
Readers head this advice: Once a strong hold em addiction takes hold, its grip will firmly control you forever. No longer will studdying for a test take precedence over a phone call, "hey we're gettin some guys over at my place, gonna play a little hold em, you in?" YOU WILL ALWAYS SAY YES.
So do as I did, stick to real cards, w/ real people, at least that way you can only play when people you know want to play.

DJ_FC, I didn't know you were a card playing man. Do you have a weekly game or something of that sort? If so, it'd be cool if I could play with ya sometime. There's nothing better than meeting new nubblies combined with Texas Hold'em.

We play a buy in game every Sunday at Hoosier Courts($20 buy in, but most people usually buy in again once they lose). Then at completely random times there is a $10 tournament on floor 9 on Briscoe Gucker, 2nd place gets his money back.

Cards, namely holdem, are quite addictive. It's almost scary how much money you can lose so fast, especially playing lunch bets (no limit, no ante, played in cash).

But oh well. Everyone has their vices, and at least cards can be quasi-profitable.
