Well, i'll tell you how MINE'S going. It sucks. I decided to sublet in muncie for the summer, mainly because I didnt want to go back home and live with my parents, and thought it would be cool to live in a college town in the summer. However, I didn't think this decision through very well, and it took me a long and frustrating time to find a decent summer job. And although I have a decent job now, It's at a fireworks distributing warehouse, hence I am only working till July 4th..ish.
Now you might be saying "Well Mr. Blonde, that sounds like it sucks, why don't you just get drunk and forget about your problems?" Oh trust me, I would, except for the fact that i received a minor consumption the week before school got out, so all that added up, it's like 550$, plus rent for the summer, and all my own groceries, and the impending problem of having to find a new job. So now that i'm giving up drinking for quite some time, I would just settle for hanging out with some good old friends. Oh, wait, all of my really good friends are back home in Elkhart for the summer. Granted, I have friends here, but they're all 21, and they drink all the time. And due to previously mentioned problems, I cannot join them in this activity, thus making me feel out of place. Since I get up for my job at about 6:30 anyways, I usually go to bed pretty early, so I kind of have an excuse not to party, but the fact still remains, that half a month into it, I am having a horrible, horrible time, especially when compared to last summer, which was the best summer of my life. So that is what I am going through at this point in my life. Feel free to bitch about your summer yourself, or to tell us how good it is. |

I kinda wish I didn't like with my mom and dad though. All they do is bitch and bitch and bitch some more. At first, it was because I didn't have a job. Well, now I have a job, but the boss hasn't called me to start working yet. Now they're bitching about how I haven't started working yet, and that they don't think I'll be able to get enough hours working where I am going to. This summer has sucked huge ammounts of cock, but I'm hoping that will change shortly. Staying down at Ball State really might not have been that bad of an idea...

well lets see so far my summer hasnt really been too bad i mean im stayin in indy for the summer so i dont really have a whole lot to do but work but that starts my summer story WORK!!
When school first got out back in april/may i had a job for a week working at the RCA Dome for a Fireman's Convention so that was only a week long then i got a construction job but at the same time i was working at the Indy 500. so after working at the RCA dome i went into working at the Indy 500 then my boss for construction just told me to start construction once the race was over so i had planned on that well i ran into a snag.. kinda. my boss at the RCA dome called me up and asked if i wanted to work a couple more shows but in New York and Maryland so i was like sure thats fine with me but he called me while i was working at the speedway so i told him to call me back later in the day when i got off work, well he called me back 5 mins later and told me he had already bought me a plane ticket to fly out to New York. So i was in a bind with my constuction job cuase i was supposed to start it right after the race well now im leave for New York. so i called my boss and told him the story bout how im goin to New York and he was like you can just start working for me in July. well that means when i get back from New York that i have 2 weeks or so that i wont be working that i'll just be sittin around doin nothing becuase my boss for construction is goin on vacation for the 4th of July weekend. but in all it really hasnt been that bad of a summer, i've been jumping around from job to job but the best part is that im making some nice cash. when i go out to New York for the week the guy is payin for my plane ticket my hotel and all my food and payin me 100 bucks a day on top of all of that. so i cant complain. then just last week i went to my girlfriends house and her parents own a buisness, well 2 people quit so they asked her and i to go in a work so we did that for a couple days so i raked up come extra cash there. so in terms of making money it hasnt been to bad. but as of things to do and hangin out with people its gonna kinda suck being here in indy unless i make trips back to warsaw which i plan on doing when i get back from New York to set up a couple games of FUGITIVE. but until then everyone have a good one [ June 07, 2004, 09:40 AM: Message edited by: bert ] |

summer vacation has started?? gosh, i guess i'm just too fucking SICK to notice.....
but anyway.. uh, i haven't really done much so far except graduate and go to a zillion open houses. which was fun. dumbass me probably made myself MORE sick at fussle's open house by jumping into her pool with all my clothes on.. oh well. i'd say that was one of my more exciting moments so far. Bert, I am very curious as to HOW IN THE HELL you get these jobs. You probably have connections, which must be nice, because I have none so i usually get screwed...but if you don't, then you must be a badass job-finder

Basically all ive been doing is chilling, getting shit done like graduation, grad parties, sleeping in, and job hunting.
Im getting damn tired of looking for a job tho. Right now im looking for something I might actually enjoy doing somewhat, but I think soon that will need to change, and I need to just start applying ANYWHERE. Its very discouraging not getting an interview, let alone a call. And it doesn't help that I have never held a real job before... guess I just keep trying. |

yeah so my summer consists of sitting in the very front row, very center seat of Mr. Dan Groff's class...JOY! in other words...sitting in hell. but what can you do. I think I've made my point.
Mr. Blonde I think you have my yearbook. |

The new instructor who took the position almost 1/2 way through the year screwed things up. And having mine already I must say that it is a fine piece of work. You all shall enjoy.

I doubt this has anything to do w/ Mr. Sweeney starting 1/2 way through the year im shure he had to get used to things but its the 2 yearbook editors to get the job done. He's just there to supervise and help out. Im dont even understand why everyone has to make such a big deal they are hear now and thats all that matters.

it was probably a combination of sweeney and last year's publications students who were like me and didn't come back over the summer to finish their spreads.
