Ok, most people hate their jobs be it because of stupid bosses or dumbass co-workers, or the job itself sucks. Does anyone out there have any good stories about getting pissed off at work....or stories about other co-workers.

My co-workers are mostly old old women. They whine about everything and anything. My boss would be cooler if she would stop being so money hungry. All we hear about is SALES SALES SALES. I mean I can understand the need for sales, but stop reminding us already!
My hours are good, my pay is crappy the enviornment is somewhat loose. All in all a better job lurks out there somewhere for me. |

The coolest guy I ever worked with was named Jose. He used to tell me about how he's had sex with hundreds of women, including a famous porn star and a former ms.indiana. I always thought he was joking until he opened up one of the drawers of his tool chest and had a shitload of photo's of all these chicks naked.... yeah, that was really funny.

I used to work at the Staples in Elkhart, and my co-workers and I would make games (more like sports now that I think about it) that involved throwing products at each other and seeing if we could catch them. No, I dont mean we were throwing copy toner at each other, we were throwing copy machines at each other. If we caught the product, then good. If we didn't and let the $500 product fall on the ground, we just laughed. We did, however, always treat the customers with the utmost respect.

I've had many jobs throughout my lifetime, but i worked at Spencer Gifts for nearly two years back home in Elkhart. Definitely the most white trash i'll probably ever see in my life. But we hardly did shit there, and a friend of mine who worked with me always stole blacklights and shit and sold them to people at school (FC knows about this guy) One day our boss took us to the back to say how we had to start watching the customers more intently, due the fact that were were missing 32 blacklights in the past month....haha.
Currently here at school i work two jobs, The Ball state Phonathon where i call alumni and ask for money, i've worked there for over a year, and for one of the computer labs here that i got last semester. I really really hate the phonathon job, and i want to quit quite badly, but you have no idea how many hot chicks work there. Kind of sad, but its really the only reason i put up with that bullshit. Thats all. |

I work at the information desk here at Millikin (in fact, I'm on the clock as I type this) and for the most part, it's quite fine and dandy. Except for these things called "set-up crews". We have scheduled hours during the week where we set up for meetings. Set-ups usually entail taking down rooms full of tables and chairs, taking down/putting up walls, setting up stages, and stuff.
It's really not horrible due to the fact that it's only around an hour. But it sure is inconvenient. Last Saturday night, I had a random set-up crew at midnight. We worked for over an hour and a half setting up damn near everything there was to set up. It was a pain in the ass. And my co-workers are all stupid shits. I'm sure the job would go faster if they knew what they were doing. Some of them are cool, but most of them are only good for heavy lifting. |

I too worked at Spencer Gifts for about two years (only in Mishawaka) And I always had the coolest managers, but they always ended up leaving after a while. So after I worked there for about a year like two management positions opened up. I had already learned all the closing procedures (this was not allowed but like I said my two previous managers were awesome) so I figured I'd be a shoe-in. But I was only 17 even though I closed like every night my schedule wasn't flexible enough (which was bullshit). So I got passed up for the job twice, because of this new manager whom Mr. Blonde probably knows (he worked at elkhart for a while i think) His name was Dave (bald chubby, ex-army guy, top of his head looks like a penis)and he was a total dickhole. No matter what I did (I was the best worker they had there, and i know everyone says that, but really i was) I'd straighten the shelves perfectly, hell I even had to vaccumn the track lighting, but no matter what I did he constantly did nothing but talk shit. So I quit...I should
mention that by quit I mean i just didn't show up...the day after thanksgiving-the busiest shopping day of the year. And while maybe that doesn't sound like much of a "fuck-you to the man" sort of thing to do...anyone who has worked at the mall the day after thanksgiving knows whats up. |

Wow, thats fucked up that you worked at the mishawaka store and know dave. Yeah, he was quite the dick, i mean he was cool later on after he worked there for a while, but he is a stickler about like, nothing being good enough. I go in and say hi every once in a while when i'm home...out of all my managers he was the one i liked the most, which might tell you something about my other managers (apprx. 5 over my whole period of working there). But i know what you mean with the Thanksgiving day thing, that whole period to a little after Xmas is fucking hell though, good job stiffing those Universal Studio fucks

There was this tall guy with black hair...i wanna say his name was mike. He used to come work at mishawaka every once in a while he was pretty cool. I thought it was hilarious that he would stand in the back to check out the effects of the black lights on womens under garments and then when there was a really hot chick he would run up and tell me to go check it out...he was alright in my book. Haha i was still on the schedule for like 2 weeks after that fateful thanksgiving...he actually thought i would come in...eh he probably just wanted to yell at me...jerk. If he was the best of the 5 managers you had, man i feel sorry for you...I always heard the elkhart store was shady as hell, that explains it.

He was pretty good, he ended up getting laid off though, i dont remember what he got "forced to quit" for...but yeah i take it back mike was the coolest, but then dave, my assistant manager throughout the whole time kept me sane though, and the elkhart store IS a piece of shit
