Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

I guess since blonde re-purposed this thread (from having none to having one) I will join in...
Why is it that every so often someone uses the phrase "mobile phone"? I thought we were past that. Am I just experiencing a regional difference? Like how some people call an ATM a "cash station" (which I think sounds fucking dumb)? |

![]() The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. Mobile phone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Read the 'also known as' section, that means that the majority call it a mobile phone, or a mobile, why anyone would call it a cell phone, I have no idea, is it because it has a rechargable battery in it? Who knows. Also note that the first electronic ATM (cash point) was used in Enfield, England. I love England, land of the free. |

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, aka “Joe the Plumber,” is currently in Israel covering the war for the conservative site PJTV.com. When asked what he has learned from his new experiences as a journalist, Wurzelbacher said that he believes the media shouldn’t be allowed to do “reporting” on wars:
"I’ll be honest with you. I don’t think journalists should be anywhere allowed war. I mean, you guys report where our troops are at. You report what’s happening day to day. You make a big deal out of it. I think it’s asinine. You know, I liked back in World War I and World War II when you’d go to the theater and you’d see your troops on, you know, the screen and everyone would be real excited and happy for’em. Now everyone’s got an opinion and wants to downer–and down soldiers. You know, American soldiers or Israeli soldiers." "I think media should be abolished from, uh, you know, reporting. You know, war is hell. And if you’re gonna sit there and say, “Well look at this atrocity,” well you don’t know the whole story behind it half the time, so I think the media should have no business in it." source. |

LOL gg being respected by anyone, Joe.
![]() Dude should have hired a publicist immediately when he got famous. Could have sold out and been a glorified puppet and gotten a few million out of it. You just... you just don't take a plumber and try to shine it up into being a journalist. It's just a recipe for failure every time. |

Of course you always knew. You have a sixth sense about republicans. You seem to know they are mostly wrong and that democrats are mostly correct. You're awesome.

Yeah, I was planning to get that $1 million/year ice-cream-eating job for next year, but that 3% tax raise on the last $750k I'd earn just ruined it for me, so instead I'm planning to become a part-time manager at Taco Bell. I might only make $7/hour, but no one will be stealing my money to give to blacks, NO SIR! | |
