Many of you have heard me bitching on here from time to time this week about being sick. The mother had been feeding me vitamins, penicillin, some antibiotics left over from the last time I was sick with this shit, and some off-brand, daytime, cough syrup stuff. None of it really worked as well as I needed it to, so I just thought I was super sick and tried to rest up as much as possible.
Well, yesterday was the one year anniversary between my boyfriend and I, and I was gonna be damned if I was going to stay home sick and not celebrate. I didn't feel too terrible by the time he got off work (I'd slept most of the day,) so we went to Ft. Wayne to dinner and a movie. Throughout the movie, my coughing got progressively worse. It was fucking obnoxious. So on our way home, we stopped at Wal-Mart to pick up some stuff. I decided to buy Nyquil and Dayquil, and also bought some cough drops and Kleenex. I used the cough drops and Kleenex, but decided to hold back on either of the 'quils because Fruit and I had a long night ahead of us. He'd been asked at work to put up about fifty sale signs in Warsaw, and I told him I'd help him. We started at about 2AM, and didn't finish until about 6:30, due to some problems with the signs. When I finally got home at about 7AM, I took two tablespoons of the Nyquil, and hit the sack. That was the best "night" of sleep I've ever had in my life. Now, you might argue that it was partially due to the fact that I was up until 7AM. There is no way that this could have been, for a few reasons. Even when I am dead-tired, I am generally a halfway light sleeper. Not every little thing wakes me up, but certain things do. Such as, the dog. When I got home, he was acting all excited to see me and sad that no one else was letting him sleep with them, so I let him go sleep in my room with me. Normally when I do this, I wake up when Ginger discovers he's in there and lets him out. When I woke up, he was gone, and I hadn't woken up once. Also, when my mom wakes up, and when she leaves the house, she's really fucking loud. She stomps through the kitchen, slams doors and cupboards, and talks really fucking loud. This always wakes me up. Always. But it didn't today. Not to mention, I normally wake up a couple times during a period of sleep for no apparent reason. When I took Nyquil this morning and slept until 2:30, I was out. Didn't wake up once. When my alarm went off, I was like "What the fuck? Why did I set it so god damn early?" because I'm not used to going straight to sleep and not waking up until the alarm. I am giving Nyquil all the credit of my good morning's sleep. I have never ever slept that well in my life, not even when I was prescribed the sleeping pill, Ambien. Nyquil is the absolute shit, and I'm even considering taking it a few times when I'm not sick, just so I can sleep that damn well. And I am definitely looking forward to taking it again tonight. |

We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind, because your friends don't dance and if they don't dance then they're no friends of mine.

Thanks Active.
By the way, I then took DayQuil a while after I made that post.. It sucked, but only because I think I'm allergic to pseudophedrine. The big "p" doesn't matter in the NyQuil, because I'm asleep and can't really feels its affects on me. It makes me feel like absolute crap, and it alters my ability to type correctly (the first time) or drive very well.. Boo to pseudophedrine. That's probably why I forgot "the big Q". I'm sorry, Stab. |

DayQuil tastes like dog ass as well. It works, but it still makes me somewhat drousy, non drousy formula or not.
NyQuil on the other hand is the motherfucking shit. I used to take that shit even when I wasn't sick, and just couldn't sleep. Good stuff. |

I have written about the warm embrace of the 'quill on several other sites, so I wont take to long here...I just want to confirm that yes, the 'quill is the greatest thing ever, it's like returning to the womb.
-And that's my post. |
