This movie was great. It was historically accurate and captivating. It starts out a little slow, but keeps you on the edge of your seat. Dennis Quaid and Billy Bob Thornton (not to mention all the other actors) did a great job of capturing the different personalities of the historical figures like Sam Houston and Davy Crockett. It is a very moving, spirited movie and you have to go see it.

I give it 4 out of 5 sexbears

Hmmm, I saw this movie, too. Definitely wouldn't give it 4 out of 5. It's a good movie, but it sure as hell doesn't start out a little slow, it's extremely slow. The Texans and Mexicans sit there and stare at each other for the first hour and a half of the movie, then it kinda feels like they rush the main battle, which in my humble opinion, could have kicked way more ass than what it did. Second of all, the final battle, where the Mexicans got their asses' kicked, felt extremely rushed, and they could have made that way better, too. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that they wasted a bunch of fucking time practically putting me to sleep, and then tried to wake me up with some half-ass battle. Don't get me wrong though, the movie really isn't that bad. I'd recommend people see it, just keep in mind that it's not much of a war movie.

I just saw the movie last night and definatly agree with dirty harry, but I feel a bit more strongly. I thought The Alamo was horrible to be quite honest. It was extremely slow and just continued to get slower as the movie ended. The battle scenes were way too short and needed a bit more action. I could go on but I'll save my breath and your time. In my personal opinion there were only 2 good things about this film. Billy Bob Thornton's performance and the good time I had making fun of it with the kid sitting next to me.

I watched the movie with about 5 of my friends and i thought it was a good movie. Billy Bob really made the movie funny as hell!! But i do have to admit the part of the movie i will never forget is where Santa Anna was talking to some of his troops and says something like soliders are like chickens and one of the mexican soliders is laughing in the background i thought that was so funny.
