mortal kombat shaolin monks
doom 3 special edition (all 3 doom games in it)
ssx on tour
blitz the league
lego star wars
kingdom of fire
nhl 2k6
project gotham racing 2
stubbs the zombie something or other
star wars knights of the old republic 2
conker live and reloaded
kunfu chaos
marvel nemesis (that is going back. just waiting for a dif game to be released)

any thoughts or reviews?

these arent all xbox games.... some are for the gamecube.

you think thats too many? i probably wont give them all to them at xmas.. i keep some back and give them throughout the school year for report cards and stuff. but i got some of them at buy 2 get one free, some where clearanced, some from ebay...

i have two boys. one will be 10 on the 16th and the other is 12 1/2. and for the record, they are only allowed to play video games on the weekends and yes they do play outside a lot. no fat out of shape kids in my house. they are very physically active and both are extremely intelligent.

Why not just get a 360, Halo 3 when its out, and there you go. No point in playing any other Xbox game once you've played Halo 2.

we already have halo 1 and 2. xbox 360 is going to be overpriced and they still arent certain which xbox 1 games it will be able to play. the only new system we are getting for sure is the nintendo revolution next summer.

I got Star Wars Battlefront 2 yesterday and its fantastic. For anyone who hasn't played it its like Battlefield but with storm troopers and x-wings. The battles are chaotic and ridiculously fun. When You're running around trying to return the flag to your command post with explosions left and right and clone troopers and droid parts flying through the air your heart can't help but start racing.

Or can you switch from different character mid-play, or what?

Silly Blonde, you are refering to a third person action game when you can see your entire character, such as grandtheft auto. The Battlefield games, such as Battlefield 1942 are like massive scale multiplayer first person shooters. You can play up to 64 players online and kill each other and drive tanks and choppers and shit. In games such as this you see the game from first person person perspective, hence, first person shooter, or FPS.

The other type of game that I think you are refering to is a Real Time Strategy game, or RTS. In which you have many units and you usually control them from a birds eye view. Games like this usually involve resource management and building up massive armies to defeat your opponent.

The last type of game we will discuss today is a Role Playing Game, or RPG. In which you run around and cast spells, level up your character, and accessorize them with things like firehelmets and hankerchiefs of greater wisdom. This kind of game is for those that suck at all other kinds of games (sorry active).

This is dorks lesson of the day.

It looked to me from the commercials that Battlefront 2 was played from a third person view. Maybe that was just for advertising purposes. Anyways, so in Battlefront do you only play one character then? Because that's my type of game, being one person and killing everybody else.

Yeah, you play as just one character at a time. There are four factions but only two can fight each other at any time. Each Faction has Six unit types you can choose from. You can switch your class around at command posts or when you die and have to respawn. If you get enough points(from kills etc.) You can choose to play as a Jedi or Sith, which is insane. Its really, really fun especially if you like Star Wars. The online is insane, if you have Xbox live or something online Pick it up, you won't regret it.
