Natty Light is amazing. Put it up against any other domestic light in a blind taste test. If you can even tell the difference, I'll be damned if you mind the taste of the Natty Light enough to pay 25%+ more for the other stuff.

Natty light is far better than Keystone, and it's really only fair to compare it with beers in it's bracket. Plus, as you say, most domestic light beers aren't particularly good anyway. If you are going to drink a lot of beer solely to get drunk or just want a large quantity of it available, Natty is your best bet. If you want to sit down and enjoy a beer, then you get a proper beer, not some bud/miller/coors lite bullshit.

Really?
We're all adults now. It's ok to drink adult beer. Throw away the crap. |

If I remember correctly, you went out and bought some shitty American lite (I hate that spelling) beer while I was there; just saying.

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

Rolling Rock recently started making 30 Racks of cans for roughly the same price as Natty, Keystone, and PBR. I find it to be a much better option.

I just bought a ps3. I've wanted one for a very long time, but it just hasn't been economically feasible (both monetary and opportunity costs), until now. Although it's still probably not very wise of me in terms of opportunity cost, fuck it, I'll just have to show some self-discipline.

UB, if you want a comparison, the TV in my living room is 48". I think it's a dandy size for an apartment, but if you're staying in that townhouse, that size may not be big enough for the open living room area.

Yes. They are pretty kick ass. Mine is actually broken, but for a cheap VC, they are an excellent buy. If you're into making personal vids around the house, or go on trips regularly where you take mostly video (home videos of your family, example), it's pretty good. But i've found that mostly when you're traveling it's a hassle to carry around everywhere, on top of your camera, ipod, wallet, etc.
Most of the time I just resort to using my camera's video option anyways; the convenience trumps the higher quality. |

Thx, Blonde.
IM, I have to video tape myself 4 times in the next week (starting tomorrow) and will have to do so for pretty much the rest of my life. I need something with good audio and clear video that doesn't get botched down by movement. It's for my conducting video demos to be sent for job apps. |

Yeah this is why I've never owned a video camera. I bought one for my brother when he had his kid, and haven't had any reason to borrow it, so I guess I can survive without. My self recording needs are satisfied by my web cam.

I used my new flip mino hd recorder today. I await to get home and see how it turned out. It was very simple and user friendly, two things I greatly appreciate. I bought an adapter (which oddly doesn't fit very well) and a tripod which worked, as expected.

Just bought this:
![]() I used to covet this card as a kid but I could never afford it because it was like $30 and I never had more than $5 in my pocket anytime I was around cards. A friend recently inspired me to look on eBay for all of the old cards you used to covet. Now that we're adults, you can get PSA 10 graded versions of cards you used to have hard-ons for at a cost that doesn't seem that painful. I got this card for $130 which is a pretty good deal. PSA 10's (which go for ~3x what a PSA 9 goes for; PSA 8 and less are worthless) of this card normally go for closer to $150. I spent a few days being a Jew and price-hunting so I could get a good deal on this card. Buying really pristine versions of old rookie cards I used to covet will probably become a hobby of mine now; they seem like a fairly solid hedge against inflation too as I anticipate the value of the cards will rise and fall fairly in concert with the value of the dollar. So at the very least, it's kind of a fun way to save money since old rookie cards in great condition hold their value very well. |
