Been to an MMA fight before? I've been to a UFC and a KOTC, and to be honest the KOTC was probably the most fun I've ever had at a sporting event. It was outdoor at an Indian casino and our "seats" were included in our hotel tickets, which was essentially the balcony of our second floor room. About half way through the fights a riot with about 60 people broke out directly under and in front of us in the parking lot. The fight lasted about 20 minutes total and eventually got broken up by cops with bean bag shotguns. Talk about best seats in the house.

People don't understand how much fun hockey games are, expecially NHL games. The speed of the game and the physicallity is awesome. I myself enjoy a minor league hockey game or 2. MMA events are solid. I actually like attending small shows more then the 2 UFC's I've been to. They were awesome, but the local shows are more personable. | |

Just as a heads-up, Dubs. The Carnival cruise I recently went on (and I'd imagine they're all a lot like this) was pretty trashy and hoot. Just lots of amateurs acting like it was their first time out of the house, etc. Not very many (hell, no) cool people around to chill with or anything. It basically felt like being on a boat with a bunch of people in their 40s and older who were acting like 19 year old girls act after two drinks. I'd be reluctant to go on one again unless I was going with another couple or group of friends (in which case I'd go in a snap).

I recommend you get a cover for your kindle. Not only does it protect the device, it also gives you that feeling of having a solid book in your hand, but without the hassle of holding pages. It's a really great little device.

Nope. And the case is almost as much as the Kindle.

It's been around since 2009, but I finally convinced myself to buy the Apollo 11 edition of the Omega Speedmaster Professional. It's the first, and only, watch to be worn on the moon - and it's gorgeous. I now own one of the 7969 pieces to be produced. Awesome watch.

It's awesome but I have so many tangible books i'm forcing myself to read before I DL others (Reading Hitchens' - The Portable Atheist on it now)-- plus don't have a case yet so don't really want it to get fucked up carrying it around. DJ FC was wrong anyways, the case isn't almost as much as the Kindle...the official (read: nice) one is only about 60 bucks.

I like gadgets. It probably was a waste. But it keeps track of all your stats: how far you ran, your speed at any given point, heart rate at any given point, averages, etc. If you run a lot (or bike), it may be worth it.
