It was like a 10. Tomato consumption does make movies a shit ton better. But I balance that against all movie reviews and still find Kung Fu Panda to be awesome!

Hearing all kinds of great things about Drive which opened this weekend. I'll probably check it out before I head to Mexico where there are no 16 screen multi-plexes.

Soundtrack is supposedly great. Definitely looks like one of the better blockbusters that has been out recently. Film starts with one of my favorite songs:

Saw it last night. It was just a bit slower than I anticipated, and not near as many cool car chases as you'd expect, but I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

Gosling's character is so damn awkward, but it works well. The chemistry between him and the neighbor chick/kid are great.

The music throughout the movie is great.

Drive was a gem. Not a flawless gem, but a gem. Gosling's character was methodical and in control. You find yourself rooting for him from the very start. Dialogue was few and far between; words were chosen carefully by each character. It's raw and timeless.

I really don't know anything about the Thor storyline except from this movie. I have no idea if it strayed or how much if so. The movie was okay for face value. Not sure if I want to get up to speed on a comic book storyline to watch a movie. I didn't mind the small town scenes. They didn't seem to overwhelm the movie.

Thor has always been one of the lamer super hero in Marvel comics ... "redeem" means that he was at some point awesome.

AP - I think the initial origin story has Thor sent to Earth with his memory wiped and he is a doctor by day and must "rediscover" who Thor is. I could be wrong as I used Thor comic books to line my bird cage when I was young.

Watched "cedar rapids" on DVD. It's okay. I don't know why but John C. Reilly's reminds me of someone.

I saw Drive last night and agree with UB and felt it has an original delivery, but several scenes seemed forced to explain the character connections and should have evolved more in the overall story line. It's very slow, with an attempt to make every single scene epic. I like the attempt, but feel the next time this crew gets together, we will have our truly epic film.

I finally got around to watching "Slap'er in the Crapper." The original with Tiffany Mynx and not that cheesy remake. It was pretty good.
