On one of the many "forced trips" they make you stop at on bus rides in SE asia (to generate commission revenue from shops), we stopped at a teahouse in Vietnam. The shit was actually pretty good, so I bought a big bag.

When I got back to Korea, I only tried brewing it about 3x before I came to the conclusion that no matter how many tea leaves I used, no matter how long or short I steeped it, the tea always smelled like jizz.

I threw it out.

ScotD: I cried at a recent concert of a Japanese High school all girl band. They were so good and blew away everybody. I just watched highlights of it on youtube (linked below) and cried for a good four straight minutes again.

F3lix is practicing for his career. Four minutes is his best time. He times it. It's difficult to tell everyone around you and not even good form to lean over and whisper that this band is really good. Crying is the perfect solution. F3lix will try to cry for the rest of his life if a band performs well in the hope someone will see him and recognize his good taste and they can strike up a conversion afterward about how the music made F3lix cry. It could even lead up to a job offer.

Performing at that level is nuts for a high school band. People left that conference talking about that band and not the President's Own Marine Band (the best band in the world.) It was stunning. They don't allow encores at that conference, yet this band was permitted three, based on the crowd's demanding of it.

When you experience an entire hour (and not 10 minutes) which builds up to the encores and the cheering and all the other buildups, it would come off differently. I posted it to demonstrate how far ahead other cultures are in music at the secondary level, especially Japan.
