Question

Maybe the lakers didn't get all the way to the finals this year, but some would argue that the Laker's line up is one of the best in history. Would you agree or disagree? If you chose the latter, what team was/is better?

I would argue that the laker's are dominant and great, but i would put more money on jordan's bulls against the lakers of now. (The Bulls line-up during the 73 win season)

Are you kidding me, The Lakers weren't even the best team in basketball last year. They consist of two players and a bunch of players that could hardly be stars in the CBA. Good Balanced teams (such as the great teams the bulls had) are going to dominate NBA basketball more and more as is the case this year.

Obviously they weren't that good if they were knocked out in the second round.

The Spurs are still looking really good right now, but they aren't anything historic.

One could argue that Derek Fisher, Ric Fox, and Robert Horry are great players in their own right, nothing hall of fame worthy, but in a situation where a spot light would shine on them instead of teamates, each could thrive equally.
Or is that just ludacris?

It's just ludacris. I love the Lakers of late, yet I do not think they are anywhere near the best team of all-time.

I would have to give that honor to the Celtics of yesteryear.

Celtics when Red was coach and the Bird/Kevin M./Parish days, along with the Lakers up until the 80s are considered some of the greatest teams of all time because of their depth and ability to work together. When a star, such as Kareem, went down, someone else stepped up to fill the position. It's nice to see that the current Lakers "great" players can fill the shoes of Rick Fox when he gets injured. Since you cannot spell the word "ludicrous" properly, I'm going to assume you spend your days watching quality sports such as LPGA and WNBA. Never bring up this subject again unless you have something smart to say (the Bulls comment doesn't count because that is common knowledge).
