So some guy tries to get high on vicodin and the whole world jumps to the conclusion that he's trying to commit suicide?

The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them. |

It's sad too, 'cause he's an enormously talented athlete. The type of body frame and athletic skills that could have people calling him the greatest WR ever to play the game. Too bad he can't get his ducks in a row.

Yeah, nobody ever tries to kill themselves with pain pills DJ, good call.
From what i heard, it changed from oding on pain pills to "taking too many dietary supplements with his pain medication"...what a load of bull. Looks like a lot of backpeddling to me. Anybody watch the news conference? |
Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

Sure, I blow through a bottle of pain pills and I have a "substance abuse problem" TO does it and its a cry for help.
**If** the reports are true and he ate 25 or so pills and **if** it was indeed vicodin, the tylenol would probably kill him before the hydrocodone. |

Yeah, but do you think he would know that? Not all of us are so well versed in drugs.

This guy has such an amazing PR rep. Either that or he's just naturally gifted at being persuasive. Anyone watch him talk on ESPN? No excessive blinking. No shifty eyes. Just straightforward comments that actually seemed pretty logical. He does one helluva job being in the spotlight. I'll give him that...

I've read where TO is one of the cleanest athletes in the NFL. By "clean" I'm implying that he doesn't drink, smoke, pop pills, or party because he is so into his body and image. Personally it wouldn't suprise me if he had to many vicodin got a little loopy and said some stupid things. Somebody with a low tolerance to pain medicine that is willing to take 2500+ mgs of Vicodin is going to say some pretty stupid shit.
I would like to see some proof on wether or not he actually took that many pills and then make a more educated opinion at that time. As of right now I'm still 50/50 on what to believe. |
There's life and then there is Cubs baseball, it's a chore to seperate the two.
