Gentlemen, the league is afoot! Based on Shaw's commitment above that the check is all but on its way and BDH's commitment that he'll be at the live draft, whether it be the weekend of the 14th or the 21st, we have 9 people locked in. Those people are:

Obviously, we need an even number. Based on BDH's claim that he "knows some people" and UB's ability in the past to find people, I have a feeling we'll be able to find at least 1 more if not 3.

The last order of business is settling on a weekend. As said above, the weekends of August 14 and August 21 are wide open for me...meaning I'm willing to host then. If it has to be something else, I probably won't be able to offer that up. Do either of those dates work with a bulk of you? I'll start a checklist for them below. Add your name if the weekend works for you. Once a date has a few "yes, that works" going for it, we'll lock it in. Obviously the "yes" doesn't necessarily have to equate "I'll be at the draft"...though that is highly recommended for maximal happiness. For those not attending the gathering, the actual draft will probably be on the Saturday, mid to late afternoon.

I would like for free agents to be allowed for pickup until Tuesday morning. The order of the waiver wire should be the worst record to the best record, being reset each week. This stops those away from a game-time injury from being punished for not being glued to the NFL for EVERY game all season long. Plus, it keeps the league competitive and the league gets pretty lame when it isn't competitive.
