At the time I was thinking, well, I wasn't really thinking at all, but I was thinking, "well it's a money league, I don't see why managers can't pay other managers off if they want to buy the win bad enough." Looking back, it was retarded of me to think that. A player no longer in our league put it best when he said, "it goes against the spirit of competition." He was right and I think that statement is again applicable.

Hey Guys,

I'm planning on reversing everything Chad did. That means putting his roster back how it was previously and dropping the folks he added. Please let me know if you have any arguments against that in the next 12 hours. Otherwise, I'll proceed then.

Chad: Please stop being a prick. I understand that you don't give a shit about this league and that you paid your money, but your actions do fuck with the 11 of us that are playing nicely with one another.

Imo, paying the money entitles a person entrance to the league and a shot at the prize pool, but not the ability to do whatever they please (including going against "the spirit of the league"). Of course, I'm open to opinions on this, hence this message.

Let me know if you have differing opinions. I'll take silence as agreement.

Cross posting this on Nubblies & the league board.

I think he should be allowed to do what he wants with his team, because he paid entry in the league. At the same time, it would not be fair to those teams who have played him (and lost) to see him giving teams a free win for the rest of the season and through spirit of competition, I think the league should vote on the matter instead of having one person make the decision, especially since we never delegated a person to act as commissioner.

If you don't want me to revert his actions, feel free to make this your casting of that vote. I also assume FC's vote is that I don't fuck with his actions. That in mind, there are now potentially 2 votes against me doing that. If 4 more come in sharing your sentiment in the next 9 hours, I'll hold off.

I made the league, invited you to join and collected the funds. Based on that, I am the commissioner. Of course, I would never turn this into a dictatorship. This is a time sensitive matter, though, and one that I'd like resolved asap.

To be clear: I have no intention to make him set his roster or anything of that sort. If he wants to set his entire team the rest of the season out of protest, that's his choice to make imo. Dropping all of his players will destroy the ecosystem that the other 11 owners have been working toward up to this point in the year, though. That's something that I don't think we can allow happen. Note that this is coming from the owner of a team that is currently very shitty and only getting shittier as the weeks go on.

I thought you were going to put DJFC's team back the way it was rather than bench all of his players. And allow the cocksucker to decide whether he was going to do anything else with his team.

If you don't know what his team looked like before, it was the first 11 players he drafted.

I'm not going to make a huge stink about this, I mean he was pretty much a free win before anyways with players... but I would prefer that he had players playing as they were before.

Seems fair. For the record, I didn't bench his players, that's just where Yahoo placed them when I put them back on his roster. But putting them back in their positions until he explicitly moves them seems like an fair move.

f3lix, how is it that you miss the playoffs every year in our fantasy league? Being that this will be my first year out of the playoffs (probably; but thank god for the fact that my team is a well oiled machine that will earn me $300 for total points which is the true test of best team anyway), I'm a little puzzled how on earth you manage to do it every year. Can you enlighten me?

Just like I told you this year, I just don't care to put enough time into it. I'm a college football junkie and by the time Sunday morning comes around, I'm flat out beat. My Saturdays are loaded with football. I played this year to be an enjoyable Nubblite, which was far against my wishes financially. I've expressed all these thoughts before in this thread.
