Just because people don't commonly identify it as a sport doesn't mean it isn't one.

I'm just saying that cheerleaders usually justify their "sport" by saying that it's extremely physical, they have practices, they have their own competitions, etc... well all those same things occur when one plays in a band. I was just pointing out the similarities.
