Alright I wrote a poem awhile back during the school year and I just wanted to get people's opinions on it...
Arbeit Macht Frei
I'm walking into Auschwitz, I'm standing at the gate,
I feel completely vulernable to become a victim of hate,
I know there's no escaping, at least not with my life,
I don't know how to handle this unrelenting strife,
I read the gate above me, it says "Arbeit Macht Frei,"
Work may make me free, but I still believe I'll die,
My stay will not be easy, I know this much is true,
I will do my best to live and that's all that I can do,
I don't know what is happening, I've been sorted to the right,
We're going into a building, my heart is pounding in fright,
And now the doors are closing, I think they're locking us in,
The gas is closing around me, the air is growing thin,
Death of suffocation, I know that I am doomed,
My fate to fail selection and end up in this room,
But wait the door is opening, but will it be too late,
I can not really tell you, I've died and that's my fate.
