I have heard a lot of people ask thier friends what they were gonna do tonite, and more and more of them dont say they are going to the game. Granted the team didnt meet up with the expectations of last year's season, but they do have a chance tonite to go farther than any other warsaw football team ever. Yes I know it is going to be cold, but if you really support something should it matter. That lack of real support may add to the lackluster season, the players are not excited if they think that no one cares. It would be nice to see some real support. I hope it will atleast change for basketball. Do something here. Our senior years. I dont know, maybe we have all outgrown the games.

I don't know why but I just don't enjoy the games anymore at all. The lackluster excitement has satisfied my expectations I guess. I enjoyed the Homestead and Goshen games (the two I went too) but I don't plan on making it out to anymore unless of course we make it to regionals or beyond. Now that we play Snider it's going to be one hell of a tough game not to mention how freezing it is, it's gonna be tough for fans to make the trip back to Northrop Stadium for another Warsaw/Snider game we will see though.

A win/loss record shouldnt determine fan attendance, nor should weather. Take college football for example, more specificaly the Tennessee Volunteers. If you look at the capacity of their stadium roughly 105,000 people, and take note of their record 4-3 (which is horrible for a team like them usually only having 1 loss in a season). You would probably be suprised to find that their stadium is still sold out every home game. Granted Warsaw football, doesnt have the type of tradition or prestiege of Tennessee. But it does pose the question of why cant the stands be at least half full. One would think that there would be at least enough people, who support tiger sports to fill up 3/4 of it.

I really don't find going to football games to be much fun at all. It is nothing more than a huge group of people standing and talking. There seems to be about 3% who actually watch the game, and when those 3 see a good play they cheer, thus inciting the rest of the folks to start cheering. If the games didn't consist of having to stand in a huge group of people (a good percentage of which are drunk and only there to be dumb) who didn't care about the game, then perhaps I would attend more...but I really don't see that changing anytime soon. The basketball games seem to be a little bit more oriented towards actually caring about what's happening on the court...but not a whole lot. I guess we'll see...

I mean, I know no one gives a fuck about cross country, but it's free to get in, yet none of them ever showed up. It's exactly like what Arson said, they haven't done a goddamn thing for you. They just think that they're god like because they're half way decent at highschool football, and because all of the stupid stuck up bitches think they're great.

Don't get me wrong, the football team works hard, and I somewhat respect what they do. Some of the football players are really pretty cool, too, well the ones that don't think they're God's gift to Earth. The rest of the fuckers that think that can go to hell.

Oh and we can't forget about the stupid fucks that also think they're great that do a bunch of stupid shit and to me they seem like they could really care less about the game, all they want to do is paint themsleves because it looks cool and yell alot, or do other dumb shit.

I feel the same way because I don't recall anybody coming to Tennis matches although I realize not to many people care about Tennis they still aren't that boring to watch (Girls matches are ridiculously boring). Not to mention we had a very good team this year going 12-4 including a Sectional Championship it's not like we were bad or anything. The fact of the matter is in the last 10 years Warsaw has won 8 sectional championships in tennis where as the football team has won 0. This is not a shit talk or met to piss anyone off I'm just saying I don't think anyone should feel "obligated" or feel the slightest bit bad for that matter about not going to a football game, when nearly every other sporting event in the high school is minimally supported.

BDH, JR i know how it feels when there is no one coming to support you, swim meets get horrible attendance, espically the guys team, some meets there wouldnt be any students in the stands at all, only parents. And the meets that did have students, they usually came for the girls team.

as far as everyone not wanting to support football, i could care less, dont. just as long as you support some other sport besides your own.
