Just curious, what set of kickboxing rules were most of your matches under? Theres so many damn different rules in the US, I think it's part of the reason kickboxing isn't that big here.

i believe he held titles under american rules (no kicks below waist, no knees, no elbows) but he was a muay thai trainer.

no titles in American (full contact) kickboxing. I was 10-1-1. 0-1-1 in Full Contact, above the waist kicks, etc.

10-0 in International rules (Oriental Rules in ISKA). No pads except boxing gloves, kicks below and above the waist. Bascially like muay thai, but with no knees or elbows. I did train in Muay Thai, and was scheduled to fight in Muay thai a couple of times, but I hurt my knee both times while training for the fights, so I never did MT. I did train a few champions in MT though. I also treid to fight for a Muay Thai title against another opponent the saem day I won my 2nd title, but the IKF president wouldn;t let me. the MT guy didn't have an opponent for the title fight, so I figured I was healthy, why not. But, they wouldn't let me do that.

Both of my titles were under International Rules Kickboxing.

Trivia for you on "kickboxing".

Full contact = all kicks above the waist
Kickboxing = leg kicks also, no shin pads, etc.
Muay Thai = kickbocing with knees, clinching and elbows
Modified Muay Thai = K-1 rules
