I think the real question is why would you not want to drink? Its cheap as hell and readily available. how much fun is it to sit around a bon-fire with half strangers and have akward conversations? Even if those strangers were your best friends, it still could end up as a boring night. Well, if you infuse some alcohol into this situation it becomes a blast. I'm not saying you need booze to have a good time, I'm simply stating that 90% of my best and fondest memories have been created while I was heavily intoxicated. Funny shit happens, weird shit happens, and in the end everyone usually has a great time. Besides, who cares if it isn't good for you. Everything gives you cancer these days, so why bother on planning to live past 60? Life should be a balance, and since I work hard during the day, I go out of my way to kick back and party over-time at night. If that means hanging out w/ friends and getting smashed then thats what I'll do.

Honestly, I can't stand people who work either full time or work two jobs during the summer, and then when they aren't at work, they are busy doing some other bullshit that only a "highly-motivated" person would do. Then to make matters worse they never understand why people drink. They tell you that there is no reason to drink or smoke pot.

What people don't understand is that it is all a matter of semantics. To me, a waste of time is joining every extracurricular activity at school, working multiple jobs, and pursuing many other different interests all at once. Its like these people are never satisfied with one thing. If you are always trying to achieve more, then you'll never be happy with what you already have.

I'd rather just be good at one or two things that I love, work enough to have a little money, and then just hang out with friends and have a good time.

Me personally, (not that you were asking me, but I choose to answer anyway) I don't like the idea of losing control over myself. Especially to the point where others have an advantage over me. They hold their liquor better, they're more sober than I, or simply they are more motivated and stronger than me. It doesnt matter, either way the concept of someone being able to take any advantage over me in anyway, weither it be something stupid or something serious, is ridiculous. i know you personally, and i'd have to say you're just insecure. which is why you never seriously date anyone, or really let anyone into your life enough to hold a spot where they could hurt you. you have no drones against alcohol. you're just insecure.
