About as high as The Summarizer on a Friday evening.

Does the Olympics in London last more then 2 weeks? I can see them changing it after the 2 weeks has worked for the last 100 years.

Any spare tickets going?

angry pancake 05-03-2011 01:28 PM

Welcome back Mr. Dent.

Curiosity and boredom... and a few stalkerish posts.

Hello amigos,

I'm sorry to have to cancel my appearance at the Senior Golf event next year. I'm not feeling very well.

Seve

thekremlin 05-09-2011 01:44 AM

First?

angry pancake 05-09-2011 08:37 AM

Don't know if you can be first when dirty dead Seve was here before you. And I think you work at the same place.

Which airport should we be arriving into?

Do you have airline suggestions for traveling across the pond?

f3lix 01-15-2012 06:37 PM

And which stadiums are accessible from your flat?

Well, what is "accessible"?

There are 3 premier league clubs in West London:
Chelsea - Stamford Bridge
Fulham - Craven Cottage
QPR - Loftus Road

North London:
Tottenham - White Hart Lane
Arsenal - Emirates

Wembley, the national stadium, is sort of north by northwest.

East London has no premier league clubs at the moment, but 2 traditionally large clubs in the second tier (The Championship)
West Ham - Upton Park
Millwall - The Den

Stamford Bridge is the closest to his flat, I believe.

Beebs 01-15-2012 07:10 PM

I'm retarded, I only thought football stadiums

I even made a helpful map

The Olympic park is in the East End.

Did I miss him saying where he lived in London?

Beebs 01-15-2012 09:15 PM

Don't know exactly where his new place is, but near Stamford Bridge. Somewhere in London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

f3lix 01-15-2012 11:46 PM

Hammersmith River is something I want to observe when I'm there. One of the ten greatest works for wind band was written after observing it.

Beebs 01-16-2012 12:24 AM

What exactly is "Hammersmith River"? Walking along the Thames from Putney Bridge station to Craven Cottage was nice.

DJ FC 01-16-2012 01:09 AM

Interesting. I've never lived in Hammersmith and never will. My new flat is actually in a very different location than where I've been before. I'm now in the centralist of central london.

wc1a 2pj london - Google Maps

London has 5 major airports:
Heathrow
Stansted
Gatwick
City
Luton

The only one I actively avoid is Luton. 90% chance you fly into Heathrow anyway.

British Airways has always been my choice airline but I'm told Virgin Atlantic may be nicer (have never flown with them). Chicago has probably 20 non stop flights to London daily, Indianapolis has a whopping 0 so I recommend you book from Chicago.

Everything in London is accessible from my flat.

Exactly, there is no "Hammersmith River"
