London 2012

We are in the process of buying tickets. They will be sold over the next month.

Would anybody be interested in coming to London for this fine event? I can order extra tickets to pretty much any event (I think.)

Mr. Blonde 04-07-2011 06:14 AM

How does ticket pricing work out?

The same as any event. Better events, better seats > higher prices. But in general the face value of these tickets is much lower than I expect them to be in a year. So I'm going to buy a lot more than I need.

Mr. Blonde 04-07-2011 06:18 AM

Okay, but I still don't know how much tickets cost.

DJ FC 04-07-2011 06:21 AM

They cost between 10 and 1400 pounds.

If you want to come you will have a free place to stay and we will be able to find afordable tickets. You can go to the Mens Basketball final, for example, for 95 pounds. A normal Basketball game will be more like 20.

Ugly Bastard 04-07-2011 10:11 AM

Free place to stay for the Olympics? Hmm... color me interested. I want to see Usain Bolt.

Cocktooth 04-07-2011 10:50 AM

As much as you might hate this, I would def. be interested in maybe a week of events. Now getting it approved through the GF is another story.

SinisterKid 04-07-2011 01:52 PM

I'm down.

SinisterKid 04-07-2011 02:08 PM

What events are you purchasing tix for?

DJ FC 04-07-2011 02:32 PM

Lots.

SinisterKid 04-07-2011 02:55 PM

I trust tennis is included?

DJ FC 04-07-2011 04:01 PM

Yes - although I'd imagine the Olympics won't be as good as Wimbledon and if you want to do that we can do that any summer.

Hate?

You're more than welcome.

Cocktooth 04-07-2011 04:23 PM

The Olympics is something that is on the bucketlist. I didn't figure I would have an oppurtunity to do it in another country, but that would be enjoyable. Of course, most of the week would be spent watching basketball. Is there a schedule of events and locations anywhere on the internet yet?

Edit: I forgot about boxing being a summer event. Man that would be one hell of a vacation.

angry pancake 04-07-2011 04:23 PM

Interested, but don't give a shit about the olympics.

It's out there. Google, my friend.

As for being in another country, London hardly counts. We sort-of speak English and the flight from NYC is barely 6 hours. Sounds like LA to me.

Who does?

This could be one hell of a Nubblies gathering, however. Especially if we put 10 people into my flat!

ninjaface 04-07-2011 04:44 PM

Oh, fooey. I can't make it.

thekremlin 04-07-2011 05:06 PM

I just got wood thinking of all you fine folk here. How about some fucking GRECO ROMAN WRESTLING to wet the palate? Or some MICHAEL PHELPS SWIMMING? OR SOME SOCCER? And it's the olympics so we get to make fun of eatern europeans.

HELL YEAH

Also it's my birthday and i'm drunk. Don;t tell my boss

Repugnant Abomination 04-07-2011 05:13 PM

I'm interested. The biggest expense would probably be the flight.

THEINCREDIBLEdork 04-07-2011 07:03 PM

I'm coming.

With anybody else I'd assume you mean traveling to London.

You, however, I just don't know what you mean.

Beebs 04-08-2011 07:55 AM

Olympic boxing is plain hard to watch as a boxing fan.

I would be interested though; weightlifting, judo, wrestling should all be cheap.
