its a huge fucking mess. that's why i've stayed out of the whole thing. half the stuff they're talking about i wasn't around for. i only trained at gene's place on the weekends and it wasn't always consistent seeing as how i have to drive 2 hrs. so me vs. 50 people isn't my cup of tea. many of which are just part of the mob and have no idea-walt would be a good example.

gene's a good guy. recently he's made some business decisions that don't sit well with people. i'd be lying if i told you that i thought some of their criticisms weren't legitimate. but there is also shit that is either exaggerated, untrue, or twisted in that thread.

I don't really consider a bjj match dangerous. You might get your arm tweaked or choked out, but I'd pretty much step up against anyone if it was just a bjj match. Add strikes into the mix though and it's a totally different story.
