Even though I don't really give a shit, I thought I'd let everyone know that a new pope has been elected. Here's the whole story. He chose the name Benedict XVI.

It's a logical choice because the Church didn't want to pick someone who's going to be around for another 25 years. They wanted a short-term "transitional" Pope while the legacy of John Paul II is absorbed.
