I was in class in Ballantine hall this morning, and I came outside to witness a humongous crowd staring at a ledge above the main opening.

Some guy threw a desk (or chair?) out of an 8th story window to break it, then jumped out himself, to land on a ledge from the 1st story (a 7 story fall).

They carried his body away, and he looked pretty messed up, but there is a rumour that he might still be alive.

I have just learned that he did indeed survive his 7 story fall... whether he lives through his internal injuries is another story.

Certainly, but hanging yourself isn't nearly as dramatic as throwing yourself from the top floor of the most popular academic building on campus.

this is fucking ridiculous.
this kid couldve gotten help from anyone on this fucking campus. there are free counseling services and i'm sure someone would've listened to his problems. this pisses me off so much when people take things for granted.

why is it that fuckers like this have to kill themselves when there are kids out there who would do anything to live, but instead are dying of terminal cancer?

i'm so disappointed in the human race.

Yeah, I too was surprised as hell to hear that he survived a 7 story fall.

Or at least, survived for the time being.

But that, in and of itself, is an accomplishment that this guy can be proud of for at least 2 more hours.

Yeah i heard about this from a kid on my floor. I didn't believe it at all until everyone was talking about it. DJFC, did you actually witness all of this? Because if you did, that would be really fucked up.

I read 90% of the sucide attemps in the past few months, werent really attemps, but cries for attention from others...just shows the world today.

I think the problem is that society today has some stigma about going to a psychiatrist and getting mental help. I'm no expert, but the brain's another organ in your body, if the rest of the organs can get sick, why couldn't the brain? It's kinda unfourtunate.
