doesn't work, i don't need to download it

Dent 03-24-2009 01:24 PM

How would you go about embedding it then? I saw a code somewhere, but not sure how to do it, this work? < EMBED SRC="musicsample.mp3" WIDTH="300" HEIGHT="45" AUTOSTART="TRUE"></EMBED >

Edit : < EMBED SRC="musicsample.mp3" WIDTH="300" HEIGHT="45" AUTOSTART="FALSE"></EMBED > ?

Mr. Blonde 03-24-2009 01:38 PM

dunno, drunk. later

ninjaface 03-26-2009 06:15 PM

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think you can embed it for 2 reasons. One is that I don't think regular html commands work on bbl forums like this one. Two is that it is a link to download the file, which might keep it from being streamed or embedded.

Has anybody seen or heard this before? I really, really dig it!

DDTempest 03-30-2009 02:25 PM

This guy creates the songs with recorded songs from movies. This is basically the only one that I like but it is incessantly pervading into my skull.

Also, I am sure you have all seen this, but its a fucking classic regardless.

Everyone should have this album.
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours (1977) {Original} [VBR HQ mp3s] | rumours | isoHunt - the BitTorrent and P2P search engine

Pliedes 04-07-2009 07:09 PM

^^^ Seconded. And don't think I didn't notice your 'players always love you when you're playing' comment a few days ago.

I have no reservations about saying I love Fleetwood Mac. And "Rumors" can be picked up on used vinyl for about $2 at any record store....there's just tons of copies floating around.

THEINCREDIBLEdork 04-07-2009 07:14 PM

they just don't make music like they used to anymore, the 70's were the shit. mainstream music is just complete garbage now.

this is hilarious:

Mr. Blonde 05-02-2009 11:09 AM

wow, have we really not posted in here for 2 weeks? fuck.

fantastic cover imo of Tracy Chapman - Fast Car

Granted, its power pop, but i love this shit. when it hits 1:32 and 3:30 I almost jizz.

I also realize he's making blatant use of the auto-tuner. I clearly make some exceptions.

Mr. Blonde 05-03-2009 07:25 AM

obsessed with these guys right now. filmed in shanghai, which I am now determined to visit when i'm out here. I suggest watching in High Quality. so much good music comes from australia, its ridiculous. i still listen to triple j fairly often to pick up on new bands.

Just found out about this guy, for some reason i'm really interested in him (no homo), I like his music, and his story, a lot. Probably my favorite thing about him is that a lot of it is HIM apologizing for fucking up his marriage...not just bitching about getting fucked over by some slut. The guy legitimately sounds like he fucked up once, and it was MAJOR, and it was basically devastating for him. From his wiki article:

Fitzsimmons was born the youngest child of two blind parents, and was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is said to have developed his multiple instrument abilities from his mother and father, both of whom were recreational musicians. His childhood home even housed a fully functional pipe organ, said to have been built by hand by his father. He was taught the piano and trombone during elementary school, and began teaching himself guitar during his Jr. High years. He is also proficient at the banjo, melodica, ukulele, and mandolin, and is known for mixing folk music with electronica in some of his production. In addition to performance abilities, Fitzsimmons is credited as the engineer and producer of his first two releases. He is often compared to contemporaries Iron & Wine, Sufjan Stevens, and the late Elliott Smith.

William's career in music came only after completing a Master's Degree in counseling at Geneva College, and working as a mental health therapist. Prior to his graduate studies, Fitzsimmons worked with the mentally ill for several years. It was during a summer break in the midst of graduate school that Fitzsimmons recorded a collection of songs on home recording equipment which would subsequently become his debut album.

Fitzsimmons' writing often includes reference to personal and family subject matter. His 2006 effort, "Goodnight"', is said to have been based largely on his parents' divorce during his adolescence, and his most recent work, "The Sparrow And The Crow," was written entirely about and following his own divorce.
