Yes BrassMonkey, "dude's a balla". But perhaps you could back up your thoughts on him, instead of just starting a thread like that.

Here are my thoughts on Lebron James:

-He is really good, but only for a high school player. I think if you threw the kid in the NBA right now, he would get eaten alive.

-I think that a solid summer NBA work out program, and he'll be set to be a solid 6th man, or a halfway decent starter in the NBA next year.

-When he gets in the NBA, he is not going to be a machine that just leads the NBA in scoring right off the bat. He is going to be like Kobe Bryant was, and take a year or two to really blossum. I see Lebron James coming off the bench for the most part his Rookie Year.

-Twenty years from now, when we look back on the NBA, will we say that Lebron James is one of the greatest players ever to hold a basketball? ......Probably so.

of course he isn't going to jump into the NBA and dominate. but he definately won't get eaten alive either.

he will be a great player in 2-3, took kobe 3-4. will he be as great as jordan? i don't really see anybody within the next 50 years being as good as jordan, but you never know. one of the greatest players, i could see that. but all of it right now is just hype, nobody will know anything for at least the first year. soo it will have to be seen how he does.

oh yeah read some of espn's articles. if teams are actually trying to have a losing seasson so they can draft this kid, you know there is something special about him...

i say the kid goes to college and play for Ohio State, that way if the kid does bite the dust under all the hype, which is very conceivable, he will have something to help bail him out. Besides OSU basketball is horrible, they could use his help.

He's going to jump into the NBA and lead all stats. He will probably average 33 pts, 17 board, and 12 ast per game...and perhaps 7 or 8 blocks. He'll definitely have a statue of gold crafted outside of the arena that he calls home. It will probably be made within his first 3 or 4 preseason games...it'll definitely be there by the end of his first season. He's golden.

Of course, these are exaggerations...but he's seriously a pimp and I think he's going to do more than you give him credit for. He'll be a Dajuan Wagner times 3.

Ugly Bastard you could not be any further off than you are.

Dajuan Wagner was rated the number 1 prospect out of high school. Ahead of current Chicago Bulls players Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry. He decided to play one year of college where he did at Memphis and averaged 24 ppg there. He went to the NBA draft and is currently averaging 22 ppg. Not only that but he is also averagaing around 4 or 5 Assists for a 2 guard. LeBron James is not only getting more recognition than Dajuan Wagner but was compared to him about 2 months ago on a show I was watching. They stated that scoring wise LeBron and Dajuan were both about equal but that LeBron was twice the player with the total package (defense, rebs., assts.) LeBron will step into the NBA and start right away and probably be the top scorer on his team and average the most minutes. You must realize he will be the first pick in the draft and go to a struggling team so obviously he will come in right away and dominate. He is kind of like a vince carter with a better shot and a better all around game. The athleticism is about the same and it's just scary how incredibly good LeBron James will be. You wait Ugly Bastard as you will see what LeBron will do in the NBA. He has said to of been much further along than Kobe at this age than when Kobe was a senior in high school. I think Kobe averaged 12 or 13 pts. a game his rookie season. Look for LeBron to go for over 20....

Apparantly we were watching different games tonight. Because, the game I was watching saw Lebron air-ball two three's, nearly airball a lay-up, blow an easy alley-oop dunk, and miss about five jump shots that most NBAers would make.

I never said the kid wasn't good. In fact, he is God of High School Basketball.

But if you think Lebron James is going to light up the NBA next year and go butt-wild on everyone's ass. Then you've got another thing coming to you.

It's easy for a kid like that to look good when he's up against high schoolers. I mean, those kids were missing wide-open layups.

When you put him in there with a bunch of the world's best basketball players, he is just going to blend in. Give him two or three years, and then, maybe, he'll be an NBA God.

You have a bit of a point, Mr. Bastard, but you also need to realize that you didn't watch LeBron against "just high schoolers." The players on Oak Hill are much further along than most high schoolers...considering that they recruit more heavily than a lot of colleges...

......you're right. But let's be honest. Oak Hill isn't two-shits standing next to the Memphis Grizzlies.

I'll say this, and then I'll shut up:

For those of you who think Lebron James is the Second Coming, I say, that you are wrong. NEVER in the history of the NBA has an 18 year old dominated the NBA like some of you are suggesting is going to happen next year. Yes, I realize that Lebron is good. But I'm just telling you this; if you think he is going to be "schooling" guys like Kobe and Pierce and T-Mac, you are wrong. It will take him at least until he is 20 years old to really be a great player. His first few years, he'll be just a highly-talented role-player who is searching for a jump shot.

So go ahead and say your two-cents that you have to say now. I'm done replying in this thread. Just remember who it was that said Lebron isn't going to be a God next year......

Your also basing all of your assumptions off of this one game. Do i need to go back to the whole Dajuan Wagner deal again?

Last year Oak Hill was filled with many D-1 prospects. There starting Center Sani Ibrahim was 6'11 and is now at a JUCO and going pro at the end of this year projected in the first round. They also had 6'7 Carmelo Anthony who is averagin somewhere around 25 ppg as a freshman at syracuse right now. They had two PG's Chad Moore (plays for cinncinati) and Justin Gray who starts for Wake Forest. I believe they had 2 other guys who went to division one schools. Oak Hill is better than some low Divison 1 colleges. LeBron James put up 39 against them last year outscoring Carmelo Anthony. He is for real and next year he will be 20 ppg type player. That's just my personal opinion.
