I don't know where you are trying to go with your first paragraph. Anyone born blind is experiences visual sensory deprivation... it's kind of what it means to be blind. Synesthesia is also completely irrelevant to this topic. It is perceived sensation from unrelated stimuli. Unless you define something like "seeing music" in addition to hearing it being a cure for blindness I don't know why you brought it up.
Now to your second paragraph where you finally start talking about neuroplasticity. There is no debate here that the brain is very plastic during the beginning of life and people can use different areas of the brain to control what is normally controlled somewhere else. The point of this thread was to show off your knowledge of neuroplasticity by arguing that within 25 years we will be able to cure blindness. You haven't even mentioned one thing yet that indicates that we are more close to this ability than we were 100 years ago.
Can you even cite one instance where medical science was able to control the restoration of functionality in a specific part of the brain in replacement of another? Even something simple such as motor control for a pinky, much less something as complicated as vision? I'm not talking about case studies in which the brain was able to restore functionality on its own.
