I Met angry pancake
So yesterday angry pancake gets in touch with me letting me know he's in Houston on business. We decide to meet at this gas-station turned bar called the "6th Street Bar and Grille" (or some lame shit like that).
Anyway, after driving 20 minutes across Houston and getting lost once or twice, I finally arrived and met ap. I wanted to make him a thread thanking him for the good conversation and beers (I had 3 of them. Stella Artois). We talked for about an hour or so before I had to jet outta there. We both grew up in the Midwest, but he has a slightly more prestigous education background (see Princeton vs. Ball State). It was cool meeting a fellow Nubblite. ap came across as very smart, but down to Earth and rather agreeable. He has some strong opinions about the Dallas Mavericks that were interesting to listen to. Cheers. |

Didn't take pics.
I've been living in Houston since early April. No, you didn't miss a thread about it. I didn't want to live in Indiana after getting out of college. A friend down here offered me a chance to be his roommate, and I couldn't pass it up. I'm glad I didn't, because I'm having the time of my life down here. |

But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them. |

Yes, AP went to Princeton and is still pissed off at the Mavericks. Nubblies is a time waster much like Jiu-jitsu.net was. At one time there were many older fuckers on jj.net but that group somehow migrated over to nubblies. They've all but disappeared from here.
UB is cool. I had about a five beer head start on him though and I was was probably talking drivel about nothing by then. For some reason I thought the 6th street bar was closer to his neighborhood. Sorry 'bout that. Regardless, they have a decent beer selection about 15 on tap and a bunch in bottles. Nothing like the Flying Saucer, but the prices were better as well. No cameras. That's sorority girl shit. Houston is a pretty cool city. One could do worse, you can play golf year round. It's pretty mild in Texas so far this year. After the 75th consecutive day of 105 degree heat, everybody hates it. |

I still maintain contact, albeit rarely. Wow, albeit. How many times a year do you get to say that?
I actually have been thinking about shooting Gene a call, but I keep forgetting. Plus it wouldn't be a real I'm-a-ninja call unless I called him shithoused in the middle of the night. |

Ironic have caught the correct. A responsible and non-shit faced I'm-a-ninja is like a different, albeit I'm-a-ninja. Perhaps you and chee could both call Gene?

I don't think Chee would be welcomed quite as warmly. I pretty much castrated my liver last night by the way. Bacardi 151 is not a toy. I went to a local show that where my very talented guitar player friend was playing for a very untalented couple of douchey white rappers. Fortunately, I was able to drink till they were decent. No fights or anything transpired, but I did make a bit of a scene by telling some girls that I was out of their league.... I hadn't been talking to them at all prior to telling them this, so they took it as an insult for some reason. Apparently, people don't like hearing that whether it's the truth or not.
