It's surreal. Sitting in my room with this monstrosity of a storm going on outside, and I'm not the least bit scared. It's like watching a movie out my window. However, if you told me I had to go outside and touch some arbitrary object 50 yards from my front door before being permitted to come back inside, I would assume my chances of making it back alive are soberingly thin.

Winds undoubtedly in excess of 100 mph now, and on a consistent basis too. It is still not frightening, but it is, however, sickening to think that there could be a homeless person hiding under an overpass out there. I am aware it sounds melodramatic: but this might be the first time I've ever actually felt bad for the victims of Katrina. It's easy to emotionally detach one's self from something they don't understand, but I'm beginning to quickly understand what a hurricane is... one of nature's more blunt reminders that we're more helpless than we usually prefer to think.

Got maybe a 1/2 inch of rain. Wouldn't have known I was in the middle of a Hurricane/Tropical if the news wouldn't have kept cutting in.

I don't feel a damn bit of sympathy toward those katrina fucks. The City of Dallas will be tearing down Reunion Area in large part because those niggers tore it up so bad. They've been here three fucking years and haven't left yet.

I seriously don't understand why some of these tards refused to evacuate and then want to be rescued. They told everyone to get the fuck off that island days before. The stations broadcast so many dumbasses (Galvastonians) bragging about how they were going to ride this out. Fuck that. These people need to take responsibility for their decisions. Now the same jigaboos are on TV talking about how horrible their experience was. Fuck them.
