Kremlin's idea. Let's post our personal stories of how we came here and then maybe construct a timeline or something for shits and giggles.

I saw "Nubblies.net" spraypainted on a bridge at IU and got on to check it out. Found out that the members were from a similar area to where I grew up in Indiana. Read it for a few days and left.
Then Blonde told me to get back on because some d-bags from his dorm were on it too. So I got on. DJ FC was born - That was 2003. In 2006 I received a phone call from my mother concerned about some PMs and posts made on Nubblies under the alias "DJ FC." I had been discussing, in detail, taking mushrooms in my dorm and nearly getting caught by my RA. I drunkenly told her the account belonged to my roommate and I had nothing to do with it. Then I drunkenly asked Orgazmo to delete the account. The next day I sobered up and needed my Nubblies fix. George W. Bush was born. Sometime down the road I realized that Orgazmo had the ability to change user names so I had him change GWB into DJ FC. Members I am at least partially responsible for: Mr Blonde INCREDIBLEdork (Mr. Mistoffelees) Beebs Kremlin The Summarizer Sloth Additionally there were about 20 others who never stayed around (J Money aparently still lurks here as evidenced by Kremlin's death rumor spreading quickly). |

Fall 2003: During my sophomore year of college, FC was a freshman at Indiana University. Pleides and others had spraypainted "NUBBLIES.NET" on a bridge for a Nubblies contest. I don't think FC knew any Nubblites IRL yet, but he got on and became a member. I checked it out, but wasn't too impressed at the time. January 2004: Amazingly, I discovered I lived on the same dorm floor as Ugly Bastard and Tonguegina, and Orgazmo was a floor above I believe, and I think F3lix was around there too. Ugly Bastard and I had some classes and he convinced me to join the site. AND MR. BLONDE, ONE OF THE MOST POLARIZING MEMBERS OF NUBBLIES, WAS BORN. Current active members I am at least partially responsible for: Sittinondubs DDTempest SinisterKid Heurisdick I have consistently tried to get my friends to sign up, and I would wager to say there are around 20 who have posted >100 posts and lost interest. | |

Keep it coming. Things I need to hear about: the great purge. The bjj.net invasion. the iranian incident. the inception (nubblies as a porn site.)

Everyone recounting the circumstances surrounding their nubblies membership is fascinating to me for some reason. Kind of like opening a time capsule. I say this having only been a member for like four months, but in that short amount of time I've found a lot of value in this forum. I'll stop being a faggot now...
I went to high school with Blonde, FC, Beebs, perhaps several others whose identities I'm ignorant of, and graduated with Blonde in 2002, a year ahead of FC and Beebs. FC and I played high school tennis together. After graduation, I moseyed down to Bloomington in the fall of 02, and eventually crossed paths with FC several times at IU but can't really say we ever hung out on a regular basis. In 2005 I withdrew from IU and joined the military. Fast forward to March 2008 and a pseudo-reunion w/ Blonde in Tempe. Blonde insisted I check out nubblies. I ignored him. Over the next few years, I spent time with Blonde several times as we both lived in Arizona. Blonde remained persistant in his attempts to introduce me to nubblies, but my ignorance was equally persistant. In December 2010, I found myself in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor. Blonde's persistance (Blonde Ambition?) paid off as I finally ended up perusing nubblies and creating an account. Current active members I am wholly responsible for: Heurisdick |

HAHA dude I honestly forget about that. Wrecked?? Blonde pretty much re-created the scene in Tommy Boy when Tommy Callahan Jr. pulled the driver's side door on the Mustang completely forward. Wow, that actually strikes me as a good memory for some reason. I wasn't even slightly mad.

I was at Ball State, in an 8 am English class with UB. We were both in our first semester and quickly attached at the hip, in an effort to terrorize the minions in our class with intellectual taunts to debate. We were then in the same group (of 6) in said class and traded contact info for a project. UB then "made a bet" with Gaz about getting a new member to post in a short amount of time. UB contacted me and I went with it, creating the "slutbox" account. As I've said before, I'm not very good with first impressions. I changed names, as suggested by UB to another account, failed again, and changed to f3lix, which was a better fit... by only a small margin

I signed up at some point because Mr Blonde urged me to ... got bored and stopped posting because there was maybe 10 posts a day at that time ... tried coming back a couple years later again at Blonde's behest to find out that my existence had been lost in the Great Purge so there was not even a record that I had been here before.

I'll shed some light on the Nubblies' roots and the Grey Period. I'll post a bit more later on some of the other large events that have shaped her throughout her time on Earth.
The Beginnings Nubblies' beginnings came about because of Active. He ran a now defunct web hosting company at the time (which was originally called Cobalt Connection, and then turned into Blue Optic). Always looking for a good way to make money, he decided he wanted to start a porn site one night. He IM'd me and asked for a good name, and, through that conversation, "Nubblies.com" was born. Not long after he began his venture, he decided that porn sort of grossed him out (probably just staring at it for hours at a time), and asked if I wanted the domain name. I took it, installed a pirated version of Ultimate Bulletin Board (super shitty), and told a few close friends. Nubblies was born. Nubblies.com Becomes Nubblies.net Because high schoolers are catty assholes, it didn't take long for Nubblies to flourish. Dickhead A would post shit about Dickhead B (even though Dickhead B wasn't a member). Meanwhile, Dickhead B's friend (Dickhead C, a member), would see it and tell Dickhead B...who would get on, talk shit about Dickhead A and Dickhead D. This snowballed consistently for a few months until Nubblies peaked in popularity. Not soon after its humble beginnings, Nubblies talk could be heard in passing conversations in the halls of the high school. There's a fair chance this would have held steady had it not been for the great domain loss of 2003. In short, the domain expired a year after it was registered and, since Active was the main contact (he still technically owned the thing), I knew nothing about it. The result was it being poached by some other company that buys domains just to put worthless text advertising on them. Of course, this was terrible timing. Just as quickly as a group of worthless high schoolers can join a message board, they can type the URL, get a "page doesn't exist" error, and completely forget about it. To try to combat this, Nubblies was setup on a different domain to exist in the interim. I think it was greatoast.com, a random domain that Active had previously purchased. This begins the Grey Period of Nubblies. Before too long, it was decided that we needed a Nubblies domain. We made the jump to Nubblies.net and never looked back. The effect of the Grey Period were long-lasting, though. Being that only a month and a half was left of most of the members' high school careers at that point, many dropped off completely and, upon entering college, never returned. Nubblies' potential sans the Grey Period will never be fully known. |

I had seen a lot of nubblies.net (or was it .com?) t-shirts at WCHS back in '02-'03, and after having spoken to Combat Chuck, plieades, the butcher, and Victim it was pretty clear I needed to check it out. Looking back on my posts from my early days as a sexbear is quite embarrassing, but I guess that's to be expected of highschool.
I spent quite a while away from nubblies (lurking on occasion), and I'm not sure exactly why I got back on...I think the thought just struck me one day, "I should see what's happening on nubblies." Now I'm here again, and apparently my account survived some sort of 'purge', which I suppose is a good thing, because I probably wouldn't have made a new account. I have brought a handful of people to nubblies, but hardly any stayed beyond a year or so (many stopped after graduating HS). I wouldn't be surprised if a few of them still lurk from time to time. I know Alpha does, although I wasn't solely responsible for his presence. Back then, there was a lot of pointless High School shit-talking, bad music, fun games, and great contests (I can't drive past roadkill without coming up with a backstory for how the damn thing died). |

EDIT for truthfulness.
While jiu-jitsu.net did seem to have a max exodus and it was noticed, I was one of the last of the invaders to arrive. Wasn't invited in a schroeder kind of way. In fact, I might be post invasion. Although fuckloads of guys from jj.net came over, a lot did not. Some where here and there simultaneously. Funglool/Carnivorous Flavor, Loro/Lucy Fur, GDtheTrain/urmybitch were all a few years older and shot the shit off line a lot. Carnivorous, invited me first and I checked it out and decided it wasn't for me. He wouldn't let up. Lucy Fur bugged me a few times also. However, Lucy ask me to come over and be a complete asshole and troll. Much the same that bjjking/bi-curious jew/bloodyfart did. That just fell flat because urmybitch and bloodyfart could out asshole me any day. Oddly enough, jj.net also crashed or something and all was lost. Simco hired some numbnuts as an administrator as well. Gone was the everlasting thread. There were some awesome fucking gems over there that were hysterically funny, cold blooded as hell, and could make you cringe. I did create hfam95 to troll the guys from the invasion as me being an asshole wasn't working out. LucyFur was the only other person in on it at first. Nobody knew until I disclosed it on the jj.net short lived revival. hfam95 was based on a real person. His name was walt and he had an ugly ass white bitch for a wife. He posted inane stupid stuff that seemed to get lost when transitioning from A to B. A good chunk of hfam95's post were edited posts that walt had posted on other boards, such as, nhbgear, sherdog, etc. Others from the jiu-jitsu.net who have posted here and probably are gone: t, migite, mars man, mik-zev/merciless1, hellcat, dumbdave/malice, stu/lungo, AndyKaufman/DeadlyCrescentKick. I'll add more when I think of them. |

I got on to talk shit about Halo. I was awful, but wanted to stir some shit up. I've never left and remain the lowest IQ'd poster on Nubblies.net

I joined Nubblies in its beginning. I believe Orgazmo sent me an ICQ message back in February of 2002. I was a Junior in high school. I started with the name JohnnyRichter. Around the middle of our Senior year, BDH made the infamous "Hottest Girls at WCHS" thread. It would not take long for the students at WCHS to catch wind of this thread, thus catapulting Nubblies to the forefront of high school gossip. I believe it was Pliedes (who was then wintergrey) who spilled the beans about some secret information on Nubblies to Sundown, a girl he clearly wanted to have sex with (and we all did, too). Back then, Nubblies operated under a strict rule of anonymity. Fearing that our accounts' privacy had been compromised, Orgazmo allowed a one-time name change. Wintergrey became Pliedes, and I became 50 Cent. It was not long after this name change that the real 50 Cent became a hugely popular rapper. I enjoyed his music at first, but soon became disgusted with him. There was a stipulation back then, that every 1,000 posts granted you a title change and/or name change. I decided to change my name to Dirty Harry.
I was always a pretty big asshole to just about everyone, especially the new members. This came back to bite me in the ass when "the invasion" happened. By this point in time, I had very few allies left on the board, and most of them wanted to remain neutral. I attacked the new members anyways. It turned out to be a bad decision. The six or so new members, plus the 4 or so relatively new members who I had already rubbed the wrong way, plus the 3 or so old members who hated my guts tore me apart on every level as a human being. It was pretty brutal. I left in a fit of rage. At the time I was getting ready to start school back at Ball State, and I wanted to get my life back on track. I decided that Nubblies was full of a bunch of pricks, and that I didn't have time for it anymore. I stopped posting for several years. Fast forward to March 2009. I had recently broken up with my slut of a girlfriend, and I now found myself with more free time on my hands. I decided to give Nubblies a try again. During my break from Nubblies, I had created the Der Fuhrer account (I was taking German classes at the time), but never really posted with the account, just lurked. I decided to use that account so I could troll people anonymously and without the skeletons of Dirty Harry's past. Finally I came out of the closet and here I am. |
