This is a fucking travesty, and Orgazmo has set a dangerous precedent.

We frequently discuss religion, politics, and all levels of morality, yet I cannot remember an issue as decisive as this one.

On one hand, cocktooth did openly assault a team project without remorse.

On the other hand, he has served his time.

On the first hand, reps should be freely given and recieved; it is certainly FC's right to continuously neg cocktooth, and the fact that cocktooth didn't reply in kind probably has more to do with his laziness/lack of free time than his scruples. Because he has none.

On the other hand, we all did kind of gang up on him.

On the first hand, again, he totally totally asked for it, and in fact called us all out, as Blonde meticulously recorded.

On the other hand, most people seem to have forgiven him.

Given all of this evidence, I propose that Pete Rose be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, and that cocktooth be given an asterix.

Pete Rose to the BHOFiC and cocktooth given an asterix: 1-0.

I'll do you one better:

I move to abolish the rep system entirely. It's clearly meaningless at this point. You can see that Shaw himself wasn't being as "opinionated" because of his rep; it's more of a stifling force at this point than it is a force for productivity. Just get rid of it.

I like the rep system purely for the fact that I can make a comment on what someone posted without making an actual post. I kinda think it's useful if you want to convey something about a post, but it's not really worthy of making a post about. I just said the same thing twice.

Gentlemen, after a bit of research, I've found that Cocktooth's reputation before 5/17/2011 was 13955. That is the number to which he is now reset, thus negating all negative AND positive reputations he's received since that date.

Given his stance that he no longer wishes to wage war on this front, I see no reason for the onslaught to continue. Rep battles are counterproductive for the system as a whole. Squashing this one is in the best interest of all parties.

I like Rep for the reasons DH stated. I agree with Blonde that Gaz has set a dangerous precedent with this. Cocktooth asked for it all, but the moment he couldn't influence the same people he taunted, he become a crybaby and Gaz milked him back to normal. This is just awful, imo. It's not even the rep, but the reasoning behind everything that happened. FC was +repping for no reason other than freeing him to -rep cocktooth yet only the -rep was removed while our inflated rep from one man still lingers.

I believe Shocktooth should have fixed his problem in the appropriate manner and he quickly would have found his rep power back in the green.

All-in-all Gaz performed a bailout much akin to what has occurred in this country.

It's not too late to put Shocktooth back to where he rightfully belongs and have him earn his way back to have the ability to influence other poster's rep.

I agree with this fully. I really think we should put him back under. He can earn his rep back the hard way (by making good posts), but since that will probably take an eternity, he can also earn his rep back by posting a video with a shoe on his head apologizing.
