The Silverado will not only have more balls, but it will also get better gas mileage. Either one is pretty sweet though.

All the plastic panels added to the Avalanche make it look totally awesome, not to mention the 4'x4' bed is great if you have to haul something huge like a lazyboy chair but not as huge as a couch or a sheet of plywood or anything that one would traditionally buy a truck to haul.

Plus the name just kicks total ass, nothing says "i'm going downhill like a force of nature" like driving an Avalanche.

The Avalanche gets slightly better gas mileage and has a slightly more powerful engine (according to Edmunds). It's heavier, though...so perhaps a wash.

If you're looking to be a baller, get the Avalanche. If you're looking for practicality, get the Silverado.

They both have the same engines except the Avalanche has the flex fuel option. The avalanche gets better gas mileage for reasons I do not understand, but clearly gas mileage is not a huge factor here. the truck will have more get up n' go because it is about 1000 lbs lighter.

I recommended the Avalanche thinking it's probably the better truck for picking up men. It's not like ID is going to be fucking hauling anything in any case.

Moving into this penthouse (The Summarizer) with a roommate next week. (Although FC and I will no longer be living together, we have decided to stay friends.)
